🗞️ In the news: Our founder Olivier Corradi was recently featured in a BBC News article discussing how AI can help create a more resilient electricity grid. Electricity Maps was highlighted for its forecasting technology that can predict electricity generation from wind and solar sources with great accuracy and thus help the smoother integration of renewables onto the grid. As Olivier states in the interview: "If you can predict quite accurately in advance how much wind you're going to have in the system, you can plan ahead." Our new open-access article is now live on International Journal of Hydrogen Energy! 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ecgDCU_c In remote Canadian oil sites, flaring and venting of natural gas have significant environmental impacts. We propose in situ pyrolysis to recover this gas, generating turquoise hydrogen and solid carbon while reducing CO2 emissions 🔍 Key Findings: Configuration 1: Hydrogen burned to generate electricity; IRR of 25.2%, payback time of 2.6 years. Configuration 2: Purified hydrogen for sale; IRR of 19.5%, payback time of 3.2 years. This approach not only enhances economic viability but also significantly lowers emissions.
