Happy to share the results of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and CDP Annual Supply Chain Report! I am very proud of the work BCG has done in collaboration with CDP to bring these insights. Our team found that corporates’ supply chain emissions are 26 times that of their operations, with some sectors such as retail hosting 92 times their operational emissions in their supply chains. The most interesting findings? Corporates that mandate an internal carbon price for business decisions are 4.1 times more likely to have a 1.5°C-aligned transition plan. Also, those with climate-responsible boards are 4.8 times more likely to have a 1.5°C-aligned transition plan with a Scope 3 target.
