VOLCANO TEIDE REACHES AN UNPRECEDENTED MILESTONE! 🌍🌞🌱 ITS CABLE CAR, WHICH IS NOT CONNECTED TO MAINS ELECTRICITY, IS THE FIRST IN THE WORLD TO BE 100% DRIVEN BY RENEWABLE ENERGY. Today, we are excited to bring you news that marks a ‘before’ and ‘after’ in the history of sustainable tourism 🚠. Volcano Teide has successfully switched its cable car service (which does not rely on mains electricity) to operate exclusively on renewable energies 💚. This is not just a major technological advance: it is, in fact, a revolution that redefines how we understand tourism and sustainability. Thanks to an innovative system that combines solar energy, high-performance batteries and powerful energy management technology capable of managing the network intelligently, our cable car is now driven exclusively by solar energy—and Teleférico del Teide’s facilities operate using 100% clean energy. ☀️ What does this mean for us and for the planet? ✅ Zero CO2 emissions: 🌱 We have completely eliminated carbon dioxide emissions in the operation of our facilities, thus protecting the Teide National Park and avoiding the production of the equivalent of over 600 tonnes of CO2 per year. ✅ Pioneering technology: This success has been possible thanks to the collaboration of experts from the Canary Islands, Spain and abroad, who have developed a unique system that guarantees a stable and sustainable electricity supply, even in extreme high-mountain conditions. ✅ A global flagship: This ground-breaking system proves that it is possible to introduce advances in technology while at the same time respecting and protecting the environment. 🌍 Every time you choose to use the Teide Cable Car or to visit its facilities, you become part of this global movement towards a tourism model that is more respectful towards our planet by reducing your own carbon footprint. 🌿 We are inviting you to become part of the story we are writing together for present and future generations.
