We love how Asha has captured the essence of our Filling My Cup! meet-ups. We know from what participants tell us, that Filling My Cup! sessions are not simply a social event…they are a space where each participant feels seen, heard and valued. In a world that often moves too fast, our sessions provide a space for people to slow down, re-connect with themselves and find a moment of peace. For many, the sessions offer respite from life’s challenges and a gentle space where conversations flow, stories are shared and a sense of community blossoms. Each Filling My Cup! is unique – shaped by the women who attend. We incorporate arts and mindfulness-based activities designed to relieve stress and lift our mood. However, for those who simply want to meet others, enjoy a drink and a chat or simply have space for quiet reflection, there is plenty of opportunity for just that. We believe in letting each person engage at their own pace and comfort level so they get the most from each session. Asha’s reference to sanctuary really resonates with us. It conjures up a feeling of peace and comfort, a place where we can release our worries and simply be. A place where there is empathy and acceptance…a place to heal and grow. We believe the time is now right to expand our reach and create a ripple of healing and hope throughout the West Midlands so we can fill more cups! We would love to hear from you if you share our vision and would like to explore opportunities for collaboration. With like-minded partners, we can transform even more lives and make a lasting impact on our communities. #Wellbeing #Partners #Testimonial #FillngMyCup #Collaborators #CollaboratorsWanted #Birmingham #Women #Community #WomenWellbeing #Groups #WellbeingGroup #HopeInspired #Health

Can a no-agenda gathering be more "productive" than a structured program? 🤔 So often, we try to fill every aspect of a community get-together, event, or conference with goals and objectives to fulfill, forgetting about the primary need and the lubricant that makes any gathering successful - leaving space for people to be together and have enough time to get to know each other. Well, last weekend, ChangemakerXchange did just that, hosting homecoming events for the community in 11 cities around the world. 🌍 I attended the event in Berlin, and spent time with an amazing group of people, including Esther, Maximilian, Johan, Matthias, Nick, Miriam, Tanzila, Azeem, 🦓 Moh, Bontu, Jonas, Veronika, Merit, Martin, Mariko, Karolina, Hovhannes and many more 💛. I felt more connected to the community and got a lot of energy for days afterward. And, the event led to more follow-up meetings that have the potential for collaboration and community contribution. 🤗 Have you experienced a similar approach at events or gatherings? If so, what was your experience? #MeaningfulConnections #HumanConnections #CommunityParticipation
