As summer approaches, Somfy joins with European Solar Shading Organisation ES-SO to take part in this second  #globalshadingday which will raise awareness of the important role solar shading plays in residential and commercial buildings. Studies show that effective solar protection helps to regulate the heat supply in homes. In residential housing, it is possible to save from 4 to 7°C* during the heat peaks with automated roller shutters compared to manual solutions. As a player in the home for over 50 years, Somfy offers motorised and automated solutions to ensure that window coverings are always in the right position, at the right time, even when occupants are away to maximize energy efficiency in all seasons.   This prevents homes from overheating, decreases air conditioning consumption by up to 70%** and limits CO2 emissions. It improves thermal comfort at home while reducing the environmental impact. Automated window coverings make buildings more resilient to climate change effects. #Somfy #TaHoma #energyefficiency #renovationwave #overheating #passivecooling #insulation #thermalcomfort #daylightmanagement #carbonneutral *Maximum temperature compared to a house not equipped with sun protection. 🌞 Today marks the second #GlobalShadingDay, reminding us of the importance of installing solar shading in buildings to combat climate change and promote sustainability! Did you know that this simple measure prevents building overheating, reduces air conditioning needs, and significantly cuts CO2 emissions? 🌍 Join us in celebrating the impact of smart solar shading — a small step with significant results in reducing the carbon footprint of buildings! 🏢🌿 #esso #globalshadingday #globalwarming #energyefficiency #buildingdesign #renovation #renovationwave #heatwaves #overheating #passivecooling #insulation #health #thermalcomfort #visualcomfort #daylightmanagement #carbonneutral #zeroemission
