Boards results are finally out!!! Congratulations to everyone who achieved the marks they aimed for! And to those who didn't quite reach their expectations, know that your world won't come crashing down. When I received my standard 12 results, they weren't what I had hoped for. However, I refused to let that dictate my future. I pursued my dream and target universities, showcasing my skills and personality beyond just grades. And guess what? I made it to New York University, Università Bocconi, University at Buffalo, Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, Christ University, Bangalore, Symbiosis School of Economics, Anil Surendra Modi School Of Commerce (ASMSOC), T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal, IIFT Kakinada and many more! So, to those who didn't get the marks they expected: Don't lose hope. Your worth isn't determined solely by a number on a piece of paper. You have unique talents, experiences, and qualities that college admissions officers value. Use them to stand out. But let's be real—marks do matter. They can open doors and create opportunities. I've experienced firsthand how they can influence perceptions, even with a solid skill set and experience on my resume. Yes, people do judge you based on your grades and try to be friends with people having the same academic standing. So, yes, your marks are important, but they're not the be-all and end-all. Keep pushing forward, keep showcasing your best self, and remember that your journey is defined by more than just a grade. ✨ #highschool #collegeadmissions #extracurriculars

From a GMAT 690 to a GMAT 760 - all in just 6 weeks! This is how Mahim Goyal scored the golden ticket to Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management! His greatest strength? He did not get rattled by the exam. Mahim attended our live cohort, and while there was a lot to cover - he did not give in to the pressure and anxiety. He categorized his challenges into small, achievable tasks and prioritized them accordingly. He followed the routine with utmost discipline - thanks to which he was able to add 70 points to his score in such a short span of time. And the reason I respect him even more is because he did all of this while juggling his work. Mahim has been a bright champ, and his talents are shining even more brightly as he starts his much-awaited MBA journey at Kellogg! Let's take a look at his profile. → Was in the top 0.2 percentile of JEE takers. He did a B.Tech in ECE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He was actively involved with the placement cell, IITG MUN, and other sports clubs. → Mahim was also involved in mentoring a group of freshmen year students on various aspects of college like academics, extracurriculars, placements and more. → Did an internship as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs and, afterwards, pivoted into a full-time role with them. → At GS, he also mentored female engineering students on building careers in tech. → After 4 years at GS, he switched to a Product Management role and worked at slice. The one thing that shines through Mahim's profile is how the cause is at the centre of what he does. This should be a strong takeaway for anyone who is applying in R2 - be mindful of purpose. Again, a huge congratulations to Mahim on starting his journey at Kellogg! Best of luck for your journey ahead. #ivyleague #mba #globalmba #admissionsconsultant #harvard #wharton #stanford

Thrilled to share that I’m joining SPJIMR SP Jain Institute of Management & Research for an Executive MBA this academic year! The journey from deciding to take the GMAT exam to finally securing admission hasn’t been easy—it demanded consistent effort, energy, and countless hours of introspection. I’m grateful to my family for their unwavering support through it all. BUT for me, the hardest part wasn’t just the preparation; it was the decision to pursue a full-time MBA at this stage of my career. With nearly seven years of professional experience and steady growth, I found myself questioning: Why an MBA? Why now? What value will it add to my life and career? Amid all the advice and opinions (all of which enriched my perspectives), I chose to focus on my own reasons, goals, and what truly matters to me. Gaining clarity wasn’t easy, but it helped me see the profound value this education holds—not just in terms of financial returns but also for personal and professional growth. On the final note, for anyone grappling with whether to take this leap, here’s my two cents: Don’t get lost in the outside noise rather try to find YOUR reasons. Take the time to analyze your standing in your career, responsibilities, expectations, and long-term goals. Ultimately, the decision should align with your vision for the future.

“B.Com suna hai. Mass comm kya hai?” This is what one of my B-school peers asked me when we were introducing ourselves. Surely, a B-school is a place where people from multiple disciplines converge. But, that my undergrad domain is such an outlier that it is relatively unknown in broader circles, gives me mixed feelings. Previously too, I’ve been asked why I decided to pivot from a career in media to pursue management education, given it’s not very common. I believe that not everyone has their career trajectory figured out from an early age. In fact, I find it very hard to understand how some people manage to have a crystal-clear clarity about their careers from even before their undergrad years. For me, it has always been a function of my own understanding and maturity. As is expected from someone exposed to changing worldviews, my outlook towards life when I’m 25 is not the same as it was when I was 18. So, a career choice that seemed optimum then might not feel as conducive now. Hence, a career pivot doesn’t get me worked up too much. I’m embracing the journey that lies ahead, and have decided to put my best foot forward. Of course, amidst it all, I’ll do myself the favour of not forgetting my privileges. I’ve been privileged enough to try things out for myself, which everyone might not have the liberty to. So, in conclusion, I firmly believe you should give yourself chances, while counting your blessings at the same time. If everything doesn’t make sense at the moment, I’d say it’s a good thing. You’ll have a reason to get out of bed tomorrow. 😌 ------------------- Third day at International Management Institute - IMI, New Delhi 👇
