#Bharat 's history shows that it is one thing to achieve greatness and another to maintain it. I cannot still imagine how a civilization that was the glowing sun of the world got reduced to a dusty moon! Why did a civilization with the power of matchless intellect and #innovation lose its ability to stay the leading force of the world. How could it be looted over the centuries and be reduced to a third world country? Why did its brahmastras and tap-shakti not work over guns, swords and savages? How did Bharat lose its glory? I also think today when we are trying to reclaim the past glory, we should not just claim our past but create a future through innovation and intellect that matches and exceeds the world today. We must literally unite as #Indians to create an sustainable ecosystem that gives #progress, not #wars to the world. Bharat must uphold "unity in necessity" rather than the stale and pointless "#unity in diversity". Bharat must #simplify its #greatideas, implement explorative #education, use #English and #Hindi to spread its ideas within and without the nation and restrict religion to private lives of people. The guiding #principle of the country must be "na peeditha" (no victims). We must rise as enforcers of #balance, #justice and #peace with its most powerful weapon, its #intellect. We must raise our #standards from mere #believers and wasting time on #worship. We must be extremely disciplined and focused too. We are a civilisation that made astras out of darbha grass. We cannot afford to keep behaving like wild monkeys: all noise and ruckus, but no class that deserves #respect. #JaiHind. #VandeMataram. 🙏🏼

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, whose other name wasVeer Savarkar was a true hero and patriot who devoted his whole life to the struggle for independence and unity of India. Here are some reasons why he is considered a hero: Savarkar opposed British colonial rule since his early youth as a revolutionary. He got arrested and tortured but remained unbreakable in spirit. While imprisoned, he wrote major works such as “The Indian War of Independence”, 1857, and “Essentials of Hindutva” which shaped the ideology of Hindu nationalism and inspired many generations of Indians. It became the foundation of Hindu nationalist thought and organizations like the RSS, when he developed Hindutva as a concept that defined Indian culture as an embodiment of Hindu values. Being president of the Hindu Mahasabha, he defended the rights and interests of Hindus along with their claim to religious and cultural domination over Muslims though this also increased communal divisions among them. Despite being controversially minded, Savarkar was an eloquent speaker, writer, thinker among others inspiring many people through his bravery, selflessness or dedication towards his country.
