Today marks one year since I lost my father to suicide. Reflecting on this difficult milestone, I focus not on seeking sympathy, but on raising awareness and encouraging change. Mental health struggles are often silent and unseen, but they are real, and too many people continue to face them alone due to stigma and misunderstanding. We need to create spaces where it’s okay not to be okay, where asking for help is seen as a strength, not a weakness. Let’s keep the conversation around mental health open and ongoing. You never know who might be carrying a heavy burden in silence. If you’re struggling, please reach out. If you know someone who might be, take the time to check in. Together, we can help break the stigma and foster a more compassionate world. #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #SuicidePrevention #BreakTheSilence #SupportEachOther
Thanks for posting Sonja, and deeply sorry about your loss . I agree with what you say about raising awareness fully. Nobody is immune to the challenge that maintaining mental health poses ; we are all in this together; for a more carring and more connected world ❤️🩹
