We are happy to announce that our next start-up that will present at the 2024 Innovators Roundtable is RE:CHEMISTRY - By GFBio and their Chief Commercial Officer, Jan Weernink. This annual event is hosted by Nike this year and will take place in their HQ Campus, Beaverton, Oregon, USA between 28-30 October. For the last decade, GFBiochemicals has been developing novel process technology enabling Levulinic Acid derivatives to be produced in commercial quantities. In 2022, the company started the commercial deployment of its patented technology platform and has since then been producing commercial volumes through it’s manufacturing network. To meet market demand, the company has started plans to inaugurate it’s first in kind, large scale commercial operations in the south of France where the company has its main offices and R&D center. The main areas where the levulinate esters and ketals are gaining traction as viable alternatives to petrochemical incumbents include Coatings, Home Care, I&I and Agriculture applications.
