Okay, real talk—have any of you seen those new Workday commercials?
Yes, the ones with Billy Idol, Travis Barker, and Gwen Stefani literally rocking out in boardrooms and cubicle farms.
I mean, are these supposed to be satire? Because if not, UMMMMM??
Calling all HR and finance folks "rockstars" feels like a tired cliché from 2010.
Not gonna lie, it's kind of cringe. 🙈 I'm pretty sure it was the first thing I learned these professionals hate to be called when I joined the industry a few years ago...
Seriously though, is it just me, or does slapping "rockstar" on serious job titles like it's some kind of glam makeover feel a little... off?
Is anyone actually here for this? I feel like I want to like it but I just can't? Is Workday trying too hard to make spreadsheets cool? This is a question for all of my HR, finance, and marketing friends (especially the ones in HR tech) because I'm really trying to figure out if this is as weird as I think it is.
