It’s no coincidence that South Korea’s President Yoon survived an impeachment vote, Assad is on the run, Putin is escalating aggression, and Netanyahu is making increasingly controversial moves to cling to power. These events seem intertwined, reflecting ripple effects from January 6th and the most recent U.S. elections. The world watches what the United States does—or fails to do. And while I proudly stand with the 92% who reject authoritarianism, it’s clear that the so-called "strong men" of global politics are demonstrating profoundly weak leadership. On the world stage, their actions resemble a collective midlife crisis rather than effective governance. 😵💫 How this will shape the global political landscape remains to be seen. However, Assad’s disappearance raises critical questions: where is he, and who is protecting him? There’s a poetic irony in how dictators—who project strength and control—often flee or self-destruct when faced with real opposition. History shows that the fall of authoritarian figures can spark significant change. The question now is whether the global stage is ready for a shift toward accountability and progress.
