Is this news? Genuine question. In an age where the biggest mobile brands are actively promoting things like ‘magic eraser’, with the ability to change entire facial reactions and remove full objects from photos, AND people use various social media filters millions of times a day…? And don't get me started on AI-generated images! Or is the question more around transparency and authenticity when issued to media by the Royals. Don’t edit it, or do - and declare it.

In this insightful discussion with Cleo Abram @cleoabram, whose channel I like a lot, she talks about how to work with designers. As a designer, I feel that she is absolutely right. Even I've always described working with a designer (or any other expert in a field) ought to be like talking to a doctor — you describe your symptoms and the doctor prescribes the remedy. You should never hire an expert and tell them what to do; that's not just underutilising their capabilities, but also preventing a better solution than the one you may have imagined would never come to light. #design #designers https://lnkd.in/dwHiMEEp
Why every Cleo Abram video goes viral

Wow....it's apparent that the Royal Family has found themselves facing a bit of a challenge with their latest publicly issued photograph. The reaction from the press, royal watchers, and other invested parties seems to be putting significant pressure on the young family right now. https://lnkd.in/eyVrBQw4 So, what's the best way forward for them? One thing is clear: when you're under the constant scrutiny of millions, to what clothing you might be wearing or even down to what jewellery might be missing on your fingers, ensuring that every photograph released to the public is authentic and accurate becomes absolutely crucial, right down to the smallest detail. With the advancement of AI and photo manipulation, capable of replicating near-real-life scenarios with astonishing precision, it's evident that despite the current capabilities of the software, there's still much ground to cover in the realm of photo manipulation. The point at which we can no longer distinguish between reality and manipulated images remains uncertain. Nevertheless, I'm thankful that we still uphold the principles of honesty when it comes to genuine photography, and long may this continue. My thoughts are with the young royals, and I genuinely hope that Princess Kate's illness isn't too severe. I do wish her a speedy recovery. Yet, those responsible for the decision to produce and release the image without proper professional guidance need to be counselled on PR and public communication strategies. The power of personal branding photography is so evident to see, the Royal Family know that branding is an important factor in their publicity strategy, this also goes for thousands of other brands, businesses and entrepreneurs. 📸 For those interested in authentic and truthful personal branding photography, let's connect to capture your essence and story in the most genuine light possible. 8moAgree. How is this news? We are surrounded by fake news and imagery every single day - content that is at best totally inauthentic, at worst actually dangerous and deliberately misinforming. But yes, let's go big on Kate putting a filter on a family photo.....
