While we are all still waiting for OpenAI to release Sora, the last week has introduced two strong competitors. The Chinese "Kling" has demos that look quite similar to Sora, though it's important to note that these are just demos. Kling is currently only available in China as a public demo through a waiting list. What is really interesting is Luma, which also looks very similar to Sora. Unlike Kling, Luma has already been launched, not just announced. I have tried a couple of "Nordic nature prompts," and the results are pretty remarkable. Below, "Curious Refuge" has tested the available "text-to-video" AI tools, and I agree that Luma seems to outperform both Runway and Pika Labs. Interesting times! ✨
