Have you donated blood yet? Here’s what I found out! 1- I have perfect training veins for teaching how to draw blood because if someone can’t draw blood out of a vein like mine there would be some serious concerns. 😆 2- B+… Be Positive … yup that’s my blood type. Sort of like my personality, so it’s easy to remember. 🫶 3- B+ is one of the “not so common” blood types. I can only accept blood from B+ and O-. Yikes! Luckily, our co-worker Rob Osborne who recently donated is my compatible match so I will keep his cell number on speed dial. 🩸😆😆 4- It takes 1,000 donors every day to maintain a healthy blood supply in the Pacific Northwest. PS. If you haven’t donated blood please consider doing so if you can and when you get to a site of choice make sure to give them our code 9224 so they can track the number of employees, friends, families, etc. that helped us contribute along the way! Take part in the Comfort Systems Virtual Blood Drive from June 10-30 to save lives in our communities. Donors age 16 and older can Find a Blood Drive Location and schedule their donation appointments. https://lnkd.in/gnk8NGuZ Share the code 9224 when you check in to donate, and that will help us to track the impact that Comfort Systems will have during the Virtual Blood Drive campaign. An hour of your time is all that is needed to save the life of another person and celebrate families everywhere. Be sure that you have photo ID when you arrive to check in for your appointment. PS. Please feel free to share your photo back. Special thanks for photos from Rob Osborne and Dale Willemse Click link above to find a location close to your jobsite, on your way home or by your home. #CSUSA #CSUSANW #Bloodworksnw #Bloodworksnorthwest #Savealife #whatsyourbloodtype #donateblood #giveblood #blooddonorsrule

🩸 First-Time Blood Donation Experience: A Journey of Joy and Dilemma 🩸 While going through some documents recently, I stumbled upon my blood donation certificate issued on 13th August 2024. It sparked a wave of emotions and prompted me to share my experience, even though I hadn't initially planned to post about it. Donating blood for the first time was a moment of pride for me! 🙌 Knowing that my donation could help save a life was truly fulfilling. However, shortly after my donation, a relative of mine became seriously ill and needed blood. Unfortunately, because I had just donated, I wasn’t able to help at that moment. (For those who may not know, you need to wait 8 to 12 weeks before donating blood again.) This bittersweet experience highlighted how crucial regular blood donations are and the impact they can have on others. So here’s my message: If you’re eligible, consider donating blood. You never know when someone might need it, and it’s an incredibly rewarding way to give back. ❤️ #BloodDonation #SaveLives #FirstTimeDonor #BloodDonationAwareness

The New #KinderCharacterChallenge: Send Valentines to Children's Hospital Put a smile on a child at Children's Hospital this Valentine's Day. If you go to their website, https://buff.ly/3UsFkDQ you can send a valentine to a patient. On the form, choose your valentine, and it will be printed and given to a child in the hospital. It takes about 30 seconds, and it's FREE. Once you submit it, you are presented with an option to donate. The card printer is matching donations, and again, the donation is optional. No deadline was listed for when they will stop accepting valentines, but the sooner, the better. There are many children's hospitals that are doing this, so if you have additional time, try another. Just use your favorite search engine to find Valentines for Children's Hospitals. Some allow you to write a personal message (Cincinnati does not). It's recommended not to say Get Well as some of these children will not. Instead, focus on the holiday and send cheer. #CharacterStartsWithMe #RAK #KindnessRipples

Every Drop Counts: The Critical Importance of O Negative Blood Today, I was reminded once again of the impact we can all have by simply rolling up our sleeves. My recent blood donation went directly to a patient in need, possibly saving a life. This is why donating blood is so important, especially for those of us with O negative blood, the universal donor type. Only 7% of the global population has O negative blood, yet it’s the type most in demand because it can be given to anyone in emergency situations. This makes every donation critical. At The King Makers Consultant Agency, we’ve launched the Blood, Sweat and Tears Saving Lives Initiative to encourage more people to donate and help save lives. If you’re O negative, I urge you to consider donating—it could be the difference between life and death for someone in need. Let’s come together, not just as a community, but as lifesavers. Join the movement. Donate blood. Save a life. #BloodDonation #ONegative #UniversalDonor #SaveLives #TheKingMakers #SweatAndTearsSavingInitiative #CommunityImpact #GiveBlood
