Just landed back home from Barcelona, and I have to say — that was hands-down the best DrupalCon Europe ever! First off, I’ve never experienced such a concentrated lineup of incredible talks. There were so many fascinating sessions that I couldn’t possibly attend them all! Thankfully, my brilliant engineering team stepped in, catching the ones I missed to ensure we didn’t lose out on any first-hand insights. What really gets me fired up, though, is reconnecting with old friends and meeting the brightest minds in the community. Their passion, wisdom, and contagious energy fuel me with positivity and give me so much to reflect on. And let’s talk about #Drupal #Starshot (or should I say #DrupalCMS now 😉). It was nothing short of phenomenal! In my 15 years of being part of this community, I’ve never seen the Drupal ecosystem so united and laser-focused on a shared mission. Regardless of where people are based, what companies they work for, or their specific needs, we all came together as one global force. It’s awe-inspiring to witness how fast Drupal’s future is evolving, and the vision for the final product? Absolutely top-tier. I’m incredibly proud that my team is part of this movement, contributing to the community by developing Drupal CMS recipes tailored to the education and charity sectors. We’re channeling our expertise into creating a Learning Management System solution for educators and a donation system recipe for nonprofits. Given our organisation’s deep experience in these areas, this initiative feels not only vital but personally rewarding, and I’m thrilled to be on this journey. And finally, one of the best parts? Seeing my favourite team in person again! There’s nothing like breaking free from the virtual world to share real hugs and a few beers after long days at the conference. It was a joy to spend time with everyone face-to-face. Here’s to more adventures ahead. Onwards and upwards, SystemSeed!

Today marks 1 month since I joined the Drupal Association team. Time truly flies and let me say: what a month it was! Being excited and slightly overwhelmed, I didn’t share with you that in my new role I joined the Starshot initiative. Being part of this exceptional team that is paving the road into the future for Drupal CMS is a privilege and a pure delight! I am so very taken by the product we all are anxious to see hitting the market, as I am certain it will bring in a positive change in its segment as well as will push our love for Drupal to yet new level ☺️ That being said, you still might wonder what is that I ACTUALLY do. So let me shed some light on one of the directions I am pursuing actively: I have taken over the collaboration with the companies that made a pledge to support Drupal CMS either financially or by contributing time and talent. My goal is to learn which directions or tracks are of interest to the partners and to make sure they will get all the necessary details to make an informed decision on the type of contribution. However, my work doesn’t end with matching the goals of the project with ambitions of the partners: I am being there along the way in order to help with operational challenges and to ensure successful delivery of the milestones we agreed upon.
