France Recognized the Moroccan Sovereignty of the Sahara ............... The Sahara issue is of utmost importance to Morocco, which views its southern provinces as integral to its sovereignty and a natural connection to sub-Saharan Africa. This importance was underscored by King Mohammed VI in August 2022 when he stated that "the Sahara issue is the prism through which Morocco views its international environment." Morocco has not hesitated to take a firm stance, even against allies, when its interests in the Sahara were at stake. Alongside diplomatic efforts, significant economic investments have been made to develop the Sahara region, attracting international conferences and megaprojects. This unwavering policy has garnered growing international support in the Moroccan position, including from the United States, Israel, Spain, Germany, and today also from France. It also should be mentioned that the relentless efforts of Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita have been crucial in this diplomatic mission.

The highly anticipated visit of the Emir of the State of Qatar, HE Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani, to the Republic of Cyprus signals a revival of the relationship between the two nations, focusing on strengthening cooperation and learning from each other's successes. As two small countries with remarkable potential, there is a great opportunity for collaboration and sharing of best practices. This visit has the potential to not only reshape geopolitical dynamics but also to normalize relations and address longstanding challenges within both countries and the region. The media coverage in Qatar regarding this visit is extensive, indicating its significant impact and hinting at what may unfold in the near future. There has been noticeable activity and anticipation surrounding the visit within our network in Qatar, and we are optimistic about the positive outcomes it may bring. The outlook for the future is promising, and our commitment to expanding business diversification into the State of Qatar is growing even stronger. The UAE's President Mohamed bin Zayed is in Beijing today, along with several other Middle East leaders - including heads of state Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and Tunisia's President Kais Saied. They're in town for the 10th China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, a multilateral mechanism created in 2004 by China and each of the Arab League countries. This meeting happens every two years and sets the agenda for the next two - there are always lots of announcements and MoUs that come from these. Gaza will be at the center of nearly everything this year, especially as the PRC looks to build more consensus on its preferences for alternative global governance structures, as seen in the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative.
