*** New Month - New Habit *** When you drive 45,000 miles a year you tend to lean on audiobooks. With so much windshield time, it’s the practical thing to do, but it’s making me mentally lazy when it comes to actual paper books. Its time to change that and create the habit of reading several pages a night so I can relearn the art and patience associated with reading. *** YTD Habit Recap *** The following habits are all ongoing and the benefits they’ve brought to my life continue to be accrued. I’m a believer in the aggregation of marginal gains. ➡️ JAN - Gave up Facebook & Instagram ➡️ FEB - Gave up unecessary sugar/sweets ➡️ MAR - Gave up artificial sweetener ➡️ APR - Added 2000+ steps a day walking ➡️ MAR - Tighter food decisions Today is a new day. If there is a habit you want to add or remove from your life, take action. Start small. Don’t tackle more than one at a time. It’s overwhelming and will increase the chances you’ll quit. Give your new habit a month to work it into your life before moving on. You’ve got it! Besides, if not now, when?

📚One simple tip that will allow you to read no fewer than 24 books per year. 🔑First of all, why is this important to you? Books bring new ideas and keep the mind sharp. The key is to choose quality literature. 🎧How to read when you don't have time? Listen. For example, I've long been listening to audiobooks on my way to work. Currently, I'm listening to the book No B.S. Ruthless Management of People and Profits. I recommend every C-level executive to read it. 📈What's the result? Last year, without much effort, I managed to consume around 30 books, from which I gleaned many insights to navigate each day more effectively. THE CTA I have a new book lined up, and here I turn to you for a recommendation. What would you suggest I read next?

Mid-September marked the beginning of my journey into the world of books. It's been a bit of a stop-start ride since then, with only 2 books completed during that time. However, since January, I've committed myself to consistency, and it's made all the difference. 🚀 In addition to reading, I've explored the world of audiobooks, immersing myself in 3 captivating listens so far. 🎧 Now, the second book I've picked up is by the legendary Jim Rohn. 🌟 His words have truly resonated with me and shed light on my path. Some of Jim Rohn's quotes have struck a chord with me, inspiring and enlightening me along the way. His wisdom is timeless and incredibly motivating! 💪 He teaches us that success isn't just about big dreams; it's about the little steps we take every day. 🚶♂️💼 Whether it's writing letters, making calls, or saving money, each task left undone means falling behind right now. 😬 It's easy to shrug off a missed day, but Jim warns us: every day counts! Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to find more wisdom and progress in my journey. 🌟📖💡 #Bookworm #PersonalDevelopment #JimRohn #ConsistencyIsKey #EveryDayCounts #MotivationMonday #Inspiration #ReadingChallenge #SelfImprovement #SuccessMindset #GoalGetter

I am sticking my neck out for you. Let's dive into what I consider to be a true gem. First off, let's set the record straight: this isn't fiction. It's a journey through the fascinating world of facts, covering everything from the age of the Earth to the intricacies of DNA. And I get it, you might be thinking, "How can a book about facts be engaging?" Well, prepare to have your mind blown because Bryson turns what we think we know on its head. From start to finish, this audiobook will have you hooked. Bryson's ability to seamlessly weave together a myriad of topics, each a thread of information on its own, into a cohesive tapestry of knowledge is nothing short of genius. Now, I don't say this lightly, but I've purchased this audiobook not once, not twice, but four times. The first copy was for myself, and the subsequent ones were for my children. Why? Because in my humble opinion, this book offers such a comprehensive understanding of our world and our place in it that it should be required reading in schools. A Short History of Nearly Everything isn't just good, LinkedIn'ers. It's mind-blowingly good. Trust me, you won't regret giving it a listen. https://lnkd.in/e6tuHH93 #BillBryson #AShortHistoryOfNearlyEverything #AudioReading #PrimeReading #AudibleOriginals #Audiobooks #Audible #PodcastLovers #UnlimitedListening #BookishCommunity #Science #Education #Nonfiction
