How does a Hydromechanical grease interceptor store more grease than a gravity grease interceptor? The simple answer is because of flow pattern. By eliminating baffles, and diffusing the flow of influent into the interceptor, high velocity areas are eliminated. Schier's inlet diffuser significantly reduces inlet velocity and creates a laminar flow pattern (even flow or non-turbulent).
