Does Hiatal Hernia Maneuver work for all types of Hiatal Hernia? Hi everyone, today I received a great question: Can the hiatal hernia maneuver work for other types of hernias, specifically an umbilical hernia? Unfortunately, no, it doesn’t. Umbilical hernias, inguinal hernias, and femoral hernias are more difficult to manage. While you can try to push inguinal or femoral hernias back in, they tend to come back out. In many cases, especially with inguinal or femoral hernias, mesh surgery might be needed, though it can be uncomfortable post-surgery. So, to clarify, the hiatal hernia maneuver is specifically for hiatal hernias and won't help with other types. After knee surgery, like ACL repair, patients are often immediately encouraged to move the joint through a passive range of motion. 🦵 This is because when a joint is injured, scar tissue forms, and it's crucial to guide tissue repair through movement. Without proper rehab or adjustments to keep the joint mobile, scar tissue can become brittle and weak. 🩻 This initial healing window is crucial, as prolonged pain after three months post-injury often predicts ongoing discomfort.🔍 #chiropracticadjustment #chiropracticcare #chiropracticBioPhysic #chiropracticwellness #painmanagement #spinalhealth #holistichealth #physicaltherapy #chiropractice #rehabilitation #chronicpainrelief #fortcollinscolorado #patientcenteredcare #naturalhealthcare #chiropractor #chiropractictreatment

Astigmatism : A common vision condition caused by an irregularly shaped cornea or lens, leading to blurred or distorted vision at any distance. Astigmatism occurs when the front surface of the eye, the cornea, or the lens inside the eye has mismatched curves. Instead of having one curve like a round ball, the surface is shaped more like an egg. This can cause vision to be blurry for both near and distant objects. Symptoms: - Blurred or distorted vision - Eyestrain or discomfort - Headaches - Difficulty seeing at night Treatment Options: - Prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses - Refractive surgery (e.g., LASIK) Regular eye exams can help diagnose and correct astigmatism, ensuring you maintain clear and comfortable vision. Cataracts occur when the transparent lens that allows us to see clearly has become clouded. The transparent lens in the pupil allows the rays entering the eye to focus on the yellow spot. If the lens loses its transparency, the rays cannot reach the yellow spot and vision loss occurs. If this loss of vision restricts the person's daily activities, it should be treated by surgery. Although cataract is a disease that usually occurs with age, it can develop at any age due to various factors such as diabetes, use of cortisone medications, eye trauma, prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light and X-rays, and smoking. Depending on the type, cataracts can develop over years or in as little as 6 months, typically affecting both eyes with varying intensity, leading to symptoms such as blurred vision (especially for distance), glare in bright light or sunny weather, difficulty driving at night, and a dulling of colours, particularly blue. Surgery is the only option for the treatment of cataracts. It is not a disease that can be treated with medication. #viraltopic #worldsightday

Understanding Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting: Preventing Strokes Carotid angioplasty and stenting is a vital procedure to open clogged arteries and prevent strokes. Here’s a quick overview: What is Carotid Angioplasty? This procedure involves inflating a tiny balloon in the clogged carotid artery (located in your neck) to restore blood flow to the brain. The Role of Stenting A small metal coil, called a stent, is placed in the artery to keep it open and prevent it from narrowing again. This is especially useful when traditional surgery isn't an option. Why It Matters By keeping the carotid arteries open, this procedure significantly reduces the risk of strokes and enhances vascular health. Share this post to raise awareness about this life-saving procedure! 💬 #StrokePrevention #CarotidAngioplasty #HeartHealth #MedicalAdvancements #VascularHealth
