In 1954, Roger Bannister ran the very first sub 4-minute mile in the world. Once Bannister proved it could be done, it was only 46 days later that another runner broke it again...beating Bannister’s time. Just one year later, three runners broke the 4-minute barrier in the SAME race. Since then, more than 1,700 runners have broken a barrier that was once considered beyond reach. But it gets better... Before Bannister’s run, people believed that a 4-minute mile may only be possible in perfect conditions; perfect weather, on a particular kind of track, with the energy of a huge cheering crowd. But Bannister did it on a cold dreary day, on a wet track, in front of a small crowd. Do you think you have to have "perfect conditions" to go after your dream? Introducing competitive changes coming to the PGA TOUR that will deliver a stronger, more competitive and more entertaining product to fans, players, tournaments and partners. The initiative addresses key areas of feedback from the membership over the course of 2024, most notably the need to provide equitable playing opportunities and certainty of schedule for members who have earned a PGA TOUR card. The event is June 6-8, but let's break that schedule down ⬇️ It's officially a three-day event, but check out the breakdown of what each day looks like commitment-wise. Thursday, June 6 - Trivia Competition at Naked River Brewing Co. from 5-8 PM - You'll only need to send 5 people to represent the company, although you're welcome to bring more to cheerlead/support/have some drinks Friday, June 7 - Bowling Competition at Spare Time from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM - You'll send 5-10 people to represent the company on the bowling team. You can pick a time from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM to stop by, whatever your team prefers. Saturday, June 8 - The Field Day Event at Finley Stadium and First Horizon Pavilion - Officially 7:30 AM - 4 PM - This is the day you want the entire company to come out. It's way more fun if you have everyone come out and stay/tailgate all day, but if you have employees who need to pop in and out, they are welcome to. Corporate Challenge is flexible so people can still participate even if they can't stay all day. It's also family-friendly - families are more than welcome to come out and support, although they cannot physically participate in the challenges.

Finisher medal - yay or nay? The ongoing debate on the lips of event organizers. Too often you'll hear participants say that they aren't interested in a finisher medal. So, organizers listen and opt for replacements like beer glasses, plants or bracelets. Only to hear how sh#t the idea is as those very participants stroll off after the race - medal replacement item in hand. Others happily add their medal to their collection, seeing it as a badge of honour. Is it a debate that could ever be solved? Or are we forever torn between the medal vs no medal warriors. Why are we so excited about a task chair that ships "knocked down"(KD)? Traditionally, high-end task chairs ship fully assembled. KD allows us to fit 3x as many chairs in a truckload, reducing our carbon footprint and cost. Previously prohibitive extra time, money, and complexity to assemble is solved by Breck which assembles in 23(!) seconds and no tools.
