We had a profound evening at our SYP & Social: Nonprofit Night - Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center. As the Southaven Young Professionals, we had the honor of touring their facility and learning their needs. Their dedicated board and team shared the Center's critical needs and the tangible impact of their work. Despite federal funding being cut by nearly 90%, their unwavering commitment shines as they continue to provide essential services to children in crisis. Through forensic interviews, they offer a safe space for DeSoto and Tate County's child abuse victims to share their stories just once, minimizing their trauma. Their advocacy services support victims and their non-offending caregivers every step of the way—from navigating the court system to providing crucial counseling and safety education. As our "Hoodies for Healing Hearts" campaign came to a close, we proudly delivered over two dozen adult-sized hoodies for Tyler's Closet, a resource at Healing Hearts that equips children in need with basic necessities. Tonight reminded us that it's not just about the hoodies; it's about the hearts we're helping to heal. To continue their mission of advocacy, treatment, education, and prevention, Healing Hearts needs our support NOW more than ever. Let's come together to ensure that the beacon of hope that is Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center can keep shining bright for our community's most vulnerable. Every contribution counts, every action matters. Give back: https://lnkd.in/ebNhzKAy #CommunityImpact #southaven #NonprofitTour #AdvocacyInAction
