This morning as I sit and wait for my youngest to finish her ballet class I’ve been reflecting on the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign running from November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to December 10th, Human Rights Day. This campaign highlights the ongoing crisis of violence against women and girls, one of the most widespread and under-reported human rights violations in the world. As a mother of three young children—two girls and a boy—I often think about the kind of world I want to raise them in. I want my daughters to feel safe and empowered, and I want my son to understand the importance of respect, allyship, and speaking out against inequality. But the statistics are a stark reminder of the work still to be done: in the UK, a woman is killed by a man every three days, and globally, one in three women will experience violence in her lifetime. Organisations like UN Women UK, Women's Aid Federation of England and Women for Women International are doing incredible work to support survivors, advocate for systemic change, and build safer communities. One simple but powerful action we can take right now is to sign the Safe Spaces Now pledge with UN Women UK: https://lnkd.in/eXD66cpJ This campaign calls for safer public spaces where women and girls can live free from fear and harassment. By signing, you add your voice to a growing movement pushing for tangible change. The 16 days campaign is an important reminder that we should be working every day to create a future where women and girls are safe, valued, and free to thrive. Change starts with us. #16DaysOfActivism #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #SafeSpacesNow #ActNow
The domestic abuse emergency impacts the lives of countless women and children across the country. We recognise children as survivors in their own right and work to protect them too. Every donation to Women's Aid helps us support survivors. Let’s make a difference together #16Days Donate here: https://lnkd.in/e2RvNBZc

Road traffic collisions are one of the most common types of incident we respond to; we were called out to 506 RTCs in 2023 alone. In the most severe cases, our team may need to perform life-saving procedures like amputations by the roadside. Our doctors and paramedics undergo rigorous training year-round to ensure they are prepared to act swiftly and decisively, always prioritising the best outcome for the patient. We rely on your donations to fund life-saving interventions like this: https://gna.as/give #AirAmbulanceWeek

In the wake of recent disasters in Florida and North Carolina, the need for blood donations is more critical than ever. Lives have been lost and many are struggling with day-to-day survival needs. One impactful way to help is by donating blood. My wife, an O negative universal donor, and I make it a regular practice to donate at our local Red Cross center. I encourage healthcare professionals and disaster relief organizations to spread the word and consider donating. Your contribution can be life-saving for those enduring significant trauma. Access to safe drinking water is not just a necessity—it’s a lifeline. Every year, millions of lives are lost to preventable waterborne diseases, and countless others are impacted by a lack of clean water access. By supporting this cause, you’re not only helping to build a well for our children but also ensuring a brighter, healthier future for generations to come. Together, we can combat the cycle of water scarcity and disease, empowering families to thrive with dignity and hope. Your generosity is the catalyst for change that these communities desperately need.https://https://lnkd.in/dB5zGFB9 We’ve raised £255 so far, but we still need your help to reach our goal of £1,200 to complete the safe drinking water facility. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safeguarding the health and well-being of our children. This is more than a donation—it’s a chance to transform lives and create lasting impact. Join us in this mission by contributing through our GoFundMe page (link in the bio or comments). Together, we can ensure that clean, safe water becomes a reality for those who need it most.

I often feel sad about this situation. As a caregiver for child victims or witnesses, I really feel what these children feel. It's really not easy for child to face this situation. Physic & psychologic conditions are greatly affected and fluctuate along with the people around them who give various reactions: Encouraging/giving encouragement, or there are also people who bring them down. Indonesia has its own legal regulations for children in conflict with the law. Regulation No. 11/2012 about Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak (SPPA). However, it must be admitted that the implementation process is still complicated and requires time, learning, energy and sufficient finances. But situations like the film above continue to happen. The choice is, which side are we on, giving encouragement and it's side or bringing child down..?. We have to firm in child side as a victim or a witness for sure!
