🏎️💨 Ever wonder how movies make car chases sound so real? Let me take you behind the scenes of my latest project! I just wrapped up the sound design for an intense Porsche 911 chase scene. It was a wild ride (pun intended 😉) creating every vroom, screech, and crash you hear. 🧩It's like a puzzle, piecing together all the sounds to match the action! 🔊When working on car sounds, don't just focus on the engine. Observe the every little details visible in the scene- the gravel kicked up by tires, the wind rushing past, the ambience of that shot, even the subtle creak of the suspension. These small touches make the scene feel alive! In this project, I spent extra time on the Porsche's iconic engine purr. Did you know the 911 has a really unique sound? It's because the engine is in the back! I had to get that just right to make car fans happy. Making movie magic isn't just about what you see - it's about what you hear too! Easily the best car ad ever--because it's more than an ad. It's a beautiful film, with considered cinematography and direction, subtle acting and character development, a real narrative and--most importantly--fueled by brand values, not just product features. And, at 3.5 minutes in length, a good reminder that we shouldn't be slaves to "best practices."

When filming F&F1, the crew had tried everything they could to get their 1970 Dodge Charger to pull a wheelie during one of the most memorable scenes of the entire film. Sadly, the tires just wouldn’t bite properly. As a result, a specialized hydraulic rig was positioned underneath the Charger, which was obscured from view by the cameras as it lifted the front end up and gave the illusion of a proper wheelie. I think the future of film making is going to be wildly different from this moment on. Many a time, a great script has been ruined by shoddy direction and cinematography. With OpenAi’s Sora, the gap between a writers vision and the final product can become non existent. Will we see more scriptwriters becoming film makers?
