I recently discovered the On-the-Go feature of Google meets which really fascinated me. It was launched in on mobile in November 2023 to help people who are travelling or are literally *on the go*. It gives you only the important action controls like mute/unmute, raise hand and audio. The most important part of this feature is you cant use your camera in the meet in this mode, it is only for sending and receiving audio :) You can practically plug your headphones in and treat this like a regular phone call! In this fast paced world where people are constantly travelling, it makes sense that people would need a mode where they can attend their meetings in listening mode and give their points whenever necessary. This just shows how deeply google understands its user base and makes features to optimise their experience :) P.S.- Ignore the photo, that was me when I was 1 :)

Google on August 2024 core update: "This update is designed to continue our work to improve the quality of our search results by showing more content that people find genuinely useful and less content that feels like it was made just to perform well on Search." 🤔 Meanwhile, guess what? The moment is finally here! 🎉 At today's #MadeByGoogle event we revealed the latest additions to the Pixel family: 📱Pixel 9  📱Pixel 9 Pro  📱Pixel 9 Pro XL  📱Pixel 9 Pro Fold  🎧 Pixel Buds Pro 2  ⌚Pixel Watch 3 I’m especially excited about this year’s phone lineup and can’t wait to set up my new Pixel 9 Pro. But what makes these different from other phones? ⭐ The phones feel incredible to hold ーfrom the ideally sized Pixel 9 Pro sporting a 6.3" screen (the perfect display size IMO) to the thinness of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (this thing is so slim!). ⭐ But as always, the real magic lies in the software. I tested Pixel Studio and it helped me create a custom graphic for an email in seconds, and Pixel Screenshots let me recall and make sense of screenshots I had long forgotten. ⭐ Talking about forgetting ー #GoogleGemini is now the default assistant on the Pixel 9 series including #GeminiLive, making the #genAI experience more seamless and allowing for more natural conversations. Sooo awesome to see a commercial on Google's Pixel smartphone Guided Frame camera feature during the Superbowl! Guided Frame is a "AI-powered accessibility feature for the Pixel camera that uses a combination of audio cues, high-contrast animations and haptic (tactile) feedback to help people who are blind and low-vision take photos." The story of Javier (the blind man featured) was told beautifully, highlighting Javier as a HUMAN verses an inspiration or a pity - how disabled people are often portrayed by the media. Adam Morse a film director and filmmaker who happen to be blind, also directed the commercial, reminding us that representation both in front of and behind the camera is important. And big kudos for Google releasing this commercial on Youtube 9 days prior to the Superbowl, rather than right after the commercial airs, which is most of the case with Superbowl commercials. This just shows Google's commitment to accessibility and inclusion being bigger than a Superbowl splash of attention. I had the honor to keynote as a speaker and performer at Google's first Product Equity and Inclusion Summit last October - spearheaded by the amazing Annie Jean-Baptiste. "Build for everyone, with everyone."
