Many businesses don't fully understand the 'big switch off' or how it could impact their business.
☎️ Put simply, the current telephone technology we use - the landline system that has been used since 1876 - can no longer meet the demands of the modern telecoms systems. With less investment, they are just not sustainable. Instead, they are being replaced with high speed digital networks by 2025! 📱
But it is up to you to ensure your business is ready 🔻

The telecoms industry faces a fundamental question: whether vertically integrated operators still provide the most efficient way to deliver connectivity and communications services?
Some communications service providers (CSPs) have already taken steps to separate the parts of their businesses to try to deliver greater economies of scale and new revenue streams.
This report sets out to explore the benefits – and challenges – of structural separation and delayering, as well as define those concepts and the specific characteristics of netcos, servcos and infracos.

Absolutely loved your post Dean Ramsay and the detailed report. I have 2 personal observations...
a. Whether cutting the umbilical cord between the NetCo and ServCo is judicious, given that it leads to sub-optimal leverage of large set of legacy connectivity customers who could have become a quick catchment for upsell of services
b. Whether it is judicious to further split the ServCo into different technology groups (as seen in few Middle East players), while that provides internal clarity, ultimately the client would be more interested in overall solutions.
