#ConstructionInclusionWeek is focused on supplier diversity in the construction industry and the importance of including a diverse range of suppliers in our projects. Supplier diversity not only benefits the industry as a whole, but also brings fresh, innovative ideas to the table. "In the world of construction, fostering diversity isn't just about building better structures, buildings, or projects, it's about building a better industry," Matthew Meinert, National Purchasing & Supply Chain Director, said. Kicking off Construction Inclusion Week, we’re proud to join our industry peers in raising awareness about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the construction industry. This week, general contractors, specialty contractors, trade partners, and suppliers will unite to drive progress toward a more inclusive workforce. At Dome Construction, inclusivity is woven into our core values. To reinforce this, we have a month-long challenge focused on Construction Inclusion Week’s themes, starting with Commitment and Accountability. Creating a culture of belonging requires leadership and accountability from everyone, regardless of role. It’s about leading by example, modeling inclusive behavior, and holding ourselves and others responsible for creating positive change. By embracing our values—Value Our People, Seek to Understand, Do it Right—we’re working to ensure everyone has equal opportunities to thrive. Senior Superintendent, Jonathan Perez, PMP, shares what diversity means to him in our industry. He quotes, “Inclusion in the construction industry means creating an environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds, including different genders, ethnicities, abilities, and experiences, are welcomed and valued. It involves actively promoting equitable opportunities for all workers, ensuring that everyone has access to training, advancement, and resources necessary for success. True inclusion fosters collaboration and innovation, as diverse perspectives lead to more creative problem-solving and improved project outcomes. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of a respectful workplace culture that not only acknowledges but also celebrates differences, ultimately enhancing team dynamics and contributing to a stronger, more resilient industry.” #ManyStrengthsOneBond #ConstructionInclusionWeek #DiversePerspectives #InclusionInConstruction Construction Inclusion Week

Construction Inclusion Week (Oct 14th–18th, 2024), a powerful reminder of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the construction industry. On Indigenous Peoples' Day, I shared a message about honoring the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous communities. As a minority-owned business, I deeply believe in the value of diversity, and I know firsthand how it strengthens our workplace and society. But our work doesn’t stop with one day. It continues through sustained action—listening, learning, and creating spaces for all voices to be heard. Construction Inclusion Week is about exactly that: making sure the construction industry leads the way in promoting equity, safety, and inclusion for all workers, regardless of background. It’s a time to reflect on how we, as an industry, can continue breaking down barriers and building a future where everyone can thrive. Let’s use this week to strengthen our commitment to inclusion—not just in words, but in action. Together, we can make our industry one where every individual, from every walk of life, has the opportunity to succeed. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #ConstructionInclusionWeek #DiversityMatters #Inclusion #EquityInConstruction Greiner Construction

At Smoot Construction, Supplier Diversity isn’t just a goal—it’s a driving force behind the way we do business. As we continue Construction Inclusion Week, Day 3’s theme shines a light on the importance of building strong, diverse supply chains that empower communities and drive economic growth. With nearly 80 years of history as the Midwest's largest minority-owned construction management firm, we understand firsthand the impact that opportunity can have. We’ve benefited from doors being opened for us, and now, we make it our mission to open doors for others. By prioritizing supplier diversity, we ensure that minority-owned, women-owned, and other underrepresented businesses have a seat at the table and a chance to thrive alongside us. A diverse supplier base strengthens our projects, enhances our community impact, and fuels innovation. At Smoot, we are committed to leveraging our platform to support inclusive growth across the industry. Together, we can build a stronger, more equitable future—one partnership at a time. #ConstructionInclusionWeek #SupplierDiversity #SmootConstruction #Inclusion #OpportunityForAll #MidwestConstruction #DiversityInBusiness #BuildingStrongerTogether
