Recent job analysis by #GameSoundCon on jobs between 2020 and 2024 on getting hired as a game sound designer, one of the findings: "More game companies expect applicants to be familiar with game audio tools and game engines. The current situation for audio people is like trying to fit an exercise ball into a golf hole. Sure the golf hole got 21% bigger now but the exercise ball will not fit even if the golf hole is 50% larger than it’s original size.
