In line with the vision portrayed in Space Force of dealing with space obstacles, Dark, a Paris-based startup established three years ago, is striving to become the S.W.A.T. team of space. The company is actively developing a mobile platform aimed at addressing the challenges of space debris and conflict by launching, attaching to, and ultimately de-orbiting uncooperative objects in space. This mission is undeniably ambitious, as no company has yet achieved successful rendezvous and proximity operations—approaching and interacting with other objects in space. Looking back, it’s clear that my fascination with #space has always been there. But one moment truly stands out as the catalyst for deciding to embark on this #journey and turn my passion into something real. Years ago, as a child on a beach in Crete, I saw the #MilkyWay for the first time. I’ll never forget that night—seeing the stars felt like a homecoming, as though I had found something I didn’t even know I was missing. From that point forward, I’ve been obsessed with the #cosmos and the endless possibilities it holds. But like most dreams, life happened, and I got caught up in reality. I followed different paths, had incredible experiences, and learned a lot—especially during my time in the military. Yet, that connection I felt with space never fully left me. It stayed with me through the hardest years of my life and when i finally left the military i thought: Why not take my lifelong #passion and turn it into something that others can experience too? 🌠 I'm not an #astronaut, but I believe space isn't just for astronauts. Space has the power to #inspire, #transform, and shift #perspectives—and I want to make that accessible to everyone. I'm still at the beginning stages, learning and building connections. It’s a long road ahead, but I’m excited to bring this vision to life and invite others on the journey.
