Lincoln's stale Ryvita It's no wonder Lincolnshire police are underfunded and under resourced, when this building continues to remain vacant, on the books and sapping public funds. Like so many low grade office buildings in city centre locations, where organisations have moved out of town, or downsized, it's impossible to attract 2019 market values. Time for building owners and landlords of redundant buildings to reassess their true value and planners to encourage repurposing. Market fit has changed. #futureofhighstreets #futureofwork
I love that old building (I believe it was once a night club, and originally conservative club) opposite side of the road from the premier Inn, in Lincoln. It's Victorian, and the architectural features are gorgeous. But it's had a for sale sign on for a few years, and is decaying. I can think of so many uses, if I had the funds to buy it. I guess it's overpriced, else why would it be empty.
Spot on, Tony. This is something I've heard many times from studying ELDC'S property funds: the market is expected to divide starkly along the lines of high and low grade offices, and those places with poor insulation, poor connectivity, and low energy efficiency will be much harder to sell or rent out.
… cogs are whirring…
I suppose the question is why did it fall through and could the owners have helped in anyway to assist the sale to completion?
