Connecting the World: The Rise of Satellite Mega-Constellations in the Private Space Industry 🚀🌐 The private space industry is buzzing with excitement, and right now, the hottest topic is the incredible development of satellite mega-constellations for global internet coverage. 🛰️🌐 Companies like SpaceX with Starlink, Amazon with Project Kuiper, and OneWeb are on a mission to launch thousands of small satellites into low Earth orbit. Their goal? To provide high-speed internet access to even the most remote parts of the world. This ambitious endeavor is set to bridge the digital divide, bringing much-needed connectivity to underserved and isolated communities. Why is this so important? Global Connectivity: Imagine having seamless internet access no matter where you are. This could transform education, healthcare, and business in remote areas. Enhanced Data Transmission: Faster and more reliable data transfer can revolutionize everything from telemedicine to autonomous vehicles. Space Traffic Management: This rapid development also sparks crucial discussions about space debris and the sustainable use of Earth's orbits. As these projects move forward, they're not just changing the tech landscape; they're also highlighting the need for strong regulatory frameworks and innovative solutions to manage space traffic and debris. In addition to SpaceX, Amazon, and OneWeb, companies like Rocket Lab, Relativity Space, Astra, and Orbex are playing vital roles in this exciting era of satellite deployment, providing the necessary launch services to make these mega-constellations a reality. On this day in 1991, the first ever email was sent from space. A lot of tech innovation made that happen, and shows how important it is to embrace it. What tech innovation most inspires you? #TechInnovation #BusinessGrowth #SpaceHistory https://lnkd.in/eVgJsDbQ

🎞️ Check out my highlights from this year’s Space Symposium! Established by the Space Foundation as the preeminent gathering of the international space community, this year's event united over 12,000 space professionals, corporate leaders and key decision-makers from more than 40 countries to inform, engage, and foster connections. With cutting-edge space technologies showcased by over 230 innovators these are my 3 main impressions from the show: 1️⃣ Space really does matter - to everyday life here on earth. From communications to position, navigation and timing (PNT), space has deep connections to what we do every day. 2️⃣ Space remains hotly contested - from adversaries who want to dominate it, to space junk to solar flares to spoofing and jamming. Resiliency in space remains at the forefront of people’s thinking. 3️⃣ Space tech, well, is just cool - from rovers, to space tents, mechanical arms, satellite traffic management systems, to complex space suits and more, the show floor was teaming with amazing tech from across the globe (Japan, UK, Italy, Slovenia, Scotland and more had a presence). It was like being a kid in a candy store! 📄 Stay tuned for upcoming articles in Inside GNSS on updates relating to Lockheed Martin’s GPSIII/IIIF and a 5-company PNT round up!

In “The Race To Addressability” Sam Bloom/PMG's keynote kicked off our GoAddressable 2024 Summit. "Believe it or not, Advertising has a lot in common with the history of spaceflight.” A great agency perspective on why it’s more important than ever to go #addressable-first. To bring it back to Earth, start with outcomes first & then work backwards! Key themes: 🚀 Historically, the missions of space-flight–and advertising–were all about launch 🚀 Now, space flight is hyper-focused on landing & reusing the rocket – by reverse-engineering the mission to deliver the intended outcome 🚀 Today’s fragmented media yields varied outcomes – requiring advertisers to work backwards: the single source of truth = measurement + planning 🚀 There are a handful of mission critical elements to launch addressable campaigns – accurate & verified 1P data / strong, durable HH signals / authenticated media What This Means For Advertisers: ✅ Signal loss is impacting the ability to accurately target & measure ✅ Unauthenticated media is watering down media value ✅ Authenticated addressable TV advertising is the answer ✅ #goaddressable & #addressable-first #theoutcomeisthemission
