We are proud to be changing the face of temperature-controlled logistics infrastructure through the establishment of Commercial Cold Holdings (CCH), which seeks to improve essential food security across sub-Saharan Africa. CCS Logistics, acquired by CCH in 2023, continues to be a vital link in this cold chain, while demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility. CCS recently donated over R500,000 to the Children's Hospital Trust to support the burn unit at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital. This support helps maintain high-quality services and care to ensure children receive the treatment they need. Additionally, CCS provided a gift to each child in the burns unit and a special treat for the nurses who care for them, helping to spread a little joy right before the festive season. As part of the broader CCH group, CCS is dedicated to meaningfully investing in people, systems, infrastructure and technology across all its businesses, driving operational excellence and social responsibility. We commend CCS for its dedication to creating a positive impact beyond business.

Starting a business isn’t easy, and for most startups, making a profit in the early years is a big challenge. At Purpl, one of those challenges is: how can we stay true to our mission of giving back and making a difference in the disabled community before we achieve financial stability? For me, this commitment means everything. Supporting disabled charities isn’t just a box to tick, it’s at the very heart of what Purpl stands for. Actions speak louder than words, and it’s not enough to say we’re going to give back; we need to show it. Authenticity is so important to me. I want our community to see that we mean every word and that we always follow through. That’s why we created a media deck with a difference. A portion of the funds generated from brand promotional activity on Purpl will be donated to charities within the disabled space. Every brand that works with us will be contributing to making a real difference, not just saving our members money but also helping Purpl to give back. I’m thrilled that our first charity partner is Spinal Injuries Association, knowing that we’re contributing to an incredible cause not only makes me happy but reminds me why I am working so hard to make Purpl a big success.
