We got some early reports from students that they were having some challenges logging into the new GSBS Sharepoint site. We did some digging and we think we know what happened and how to fix it. To log into the SharePoint site: ✔ Copy and paste the link (https://lnkd.in/gaRNctUD) into an incognito browser window or a different browser than you have used (this avoids any cached info from your first attempt) ✔ For username enter your email in a “@uthscsa.edu” format. For example, if your email is student@livemail.uthscsa.edu, enter student@uthscsa.edu ✔ Enter your institutional password (the one you use on Canvas). Please let us know if you have any issues using the mechanism above and thanks for your patience as we experience these technological growing pains 😊
After months of hard work, we're excited to announce the launch of the brand-new Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio SharePoint Site! This internal platform will be your go-to hub for accessing key GSBS resources, guides, and institutional links, and serve as a place to foster better communication between the GSBS and our community. Current students, faculty, and staff can access the site by going to: https://lnkd.in/gaRNctUD

Update from Eduardo Sastre! Eduardo had the opportunity to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT, and Harvard on June 17, 2024. This ceremony celebrated their new headquarters building which opened in Cambridge. According to a news article on their website, "The new 323,000 square-foot space, located in the heart of Kendall Square at 600 Main St., includes lab and work space and is Leed Gold certified by the US Green Building Council. Designed with sustainability in mind, the new Ragon Institute features outdoor spaces with an array of vegetation, blue roof systems that retain and control water, a green roof, as well as other energy efficient materials and designs. In addition to being a hub for medical innovation, the Ragon Institute will also serve as a community gathering place for area residents and will host community education programs designed to engage underrepresented high school and undergraduate students in medical science and research." Eduardo was invited to assist with this exciting event and had the opportunity to see Jonathan Kraft (who is Chair of Mass General Brigham’s Board of Trustees) after working for him at the construction of the Gillette Stadium, home of the five-time Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. He also had the chance to hear from the presidents of a Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Mass General Brigham, Ragon Institute’s three member institutions. In addition, Susan and Terry Ragon, the benefactors of the Ragon Institute, were in attendance. What a wonderful achievement that will help the Ragon Institute's misson for curing human disease! #ArrowTimeConsultants #efficiency #collaboration #partnership #scheduling #reports #projectmanagement #SmallBusiness #MinorityOwnedBusiness #SmallBusinessConsulting #constructionconsulting #constructionindustry #innovation #research #medicalresearch #Harvard #MIT #MassGeneral #RagonInstitute #science #energyefficiency #sustainability #community #

For many scientists, the financial and emotional toll of caregiving, combined with their demanding work environment, can be a struggle. 🏡 In recognition of this reality, ASAP launched the Care & Career Program, a one-of-a-kind program designed to help offset growing costs and pressures related to family care among early-career researchers, postdocs, clinical coordinators, and others within the Collaborative Research Network and PPMI. The Care & Career Program has already made a significant impact, committing close to $2.5 million in stipends of up to $10,000. Programs like this are an investment in the future of science.
