Midlife is a time of beautiful transformation, much like the journey of a butterfly. Changes aren't always easy or pretty, but it's important to celebrate even our smallest wins along the way. Because as we proudly acknowledge those tiny wins, we gain momentum to keep going–ultimately, to emerge more vibrant and strong than ever before. #RadiantThursdays #healthcoaching #womenshealth #MidlifeMomentum

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, LinkedIn Fam! This is one of favorite weekends of the year because it means summer is here! And that means, shorts and swimsuit season. After breaking my T9 in 2010 and then my right ankle 2015, my running days are well and truly behind me! I found Reformer Pilates and spinning to be great alternatives. BUT, during the plandemic, I got stuck in London for 7 months and for 3 out of those months all gyms and studios were closed 😭. Thankfully, Amazon was doing better business than ever, so I ordered myself a $100 mini trampoline and the love affair began! Here’s just a few reasons I love rebounding: ✅ It’s low impact. ✅ It’s weight bearing. ✅ It supports lymphatic drainage. ✅ It tones. ✅ It’s freaking fun. “Every day of our lives, our bodies are subjected to gravitational forces. These forces are part of our existence. They help to make and shape our bodies. When we rebound we increase the pull of gravity on our bodies. As a result the gravitational forces condition, tone and strengthen each body cell. Rebounding tones everything. It also makes fitness and flexibility attainable for everyone.” - Founder of Ijump I couldn’t agree more! 💪🏽 Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone! "Have you ever found yourself in a space where you felt like you did not belong? Or you did not have the authority (or knowledge, skills, education, etc) to hold that space with those around you? For many people who are starting out on their health journey, this can be a very common feeling." Read more about how Kris stepped out of her comfort zone on her way to healthier living in our blog:

"Every small step you take is a step closer to the best version of yourself." Caption: You know what? We don’t need to climb the whole mountain today. We’re not even thinking about that peak. Right now, it’s about taking just one step. Those small steps we take every day—together—are what make this journey possible. Let’s not get wrapped up in how far we have to go. Today, let’s focus on that one step forward. We’re in this together, one step at a time. So, tell us—what’s your step today? 🌟 Accountability is Key to Success! 🌟 Look at that, the moon is still up and here I am, walking! Why? For accountability. 💪 Last week, I hit the pavement on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It's all about having someone to check in with and taking baby steps towards your goals. Whether it's a personal trainer, a friend, or an online program like Life of Gains, having accountability keeps you on track. https://bit.ly/3uX3Kbs I recently attended the grand opening of Life of Gains and was reminded of the power of support. Wes and Simon at Life of Gains in Hyattsville, MD, offer fantastic in-person and virtual training programs, making it easy to stay accountable wherever you are. Remember, health is wealth! 🏃♂️ Even simple steps like walking can make a huge difference. Since starting my journey, my blood pressure has dropped, and I no longer have sleep apnea. It's about consistent, small steps that add up over time. Don't let money or the lack of a workout buddy stop you. Walk, check in with friends, and stay committed to your health. I'm out here, fitting in my walk, talking to you all to stay accountable. Let's tackle this week together! Let's go, let's go, let's go! 🚀 #Accountability #FitnessJourney #HealthIsWealth #LifeOfGains #StayMotivated #KeepWalking #SmallSteps #BigResults #FitnessCommunity #grandopening. #healthjourney #hyattsvillemd #LOG

Hey everyone, DJ here! Today, I want to share a personal story that highlights an important lesson in self-leadership. I've lived in Hawaii for over three years without needing my inhaler, enjoying the beautiful weather and fresh air. But recently, I had a surprise asthma attack while visiting Myrtle Beach. It was scary, and I felt completely out of breath. Luckily, I found an amazing doctor at CareNow who knew exactly what to do. Shoutout to the care team for saving the day! This experience taught me a valuable lesson about self-leadership: always be prepared, even if you think you've outgrown your challenges. In life and leadership, it's crucial to anticipate the unknown and prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. Self-leadership is about taking responsibility for our preparedness and resilience. It's about having the foresight to recognize potential risks and the discipline to take proactive measures. By staying vigilant and ready for anything, we can navigate unexpected challenges more effectively and maintain our well-being. So, let's commit to anticipating the unknown and being ready for whatever life throws. Remember, preparation is key to self-leadership and success. I am grateful for the quick and expert help I received! 🙏 #AsthmaAwareness #StayPrepared #HealthIsWealth #AsthmaAttack #AsthmaStruggles #InhalerLife #AsthmaWarrior #Healthcare #EmergencyCare #UrgentCare #MyrtleBeach #SelfLeadership #BePrepared #AnticipateTheUnknown #Resilience #ProactiveLiving

If someone had told me a year ago, when I first launched my coaching business, that I would be where I am today, I wouldn’t have believed them. This year has far exceeded my expectations. I believed in a better way. I believed that as healthcare providers, we could offer more. I believed in proactive health, not reactive fixes or temporary band-aid solutions. I believed in holistic, natural approaches that address the root cause. I believed in treating the whole person, recognizing the complexity of each individual's unique life experience, and helping them live as healthily as possible, free of disease. I believed that truly knowing you, the client, was often overlooked in modern healthcare. To my clients—thank you for trusting me with your health and well-being. Thank you for believing in my vision. It has been an honour to stand by your side, guiding you through your health journey. Witnessing your progress has been incredible, but what brings me the most joy is seeing the fire and passion you’ve developed for living your best life—capable, confident, and empowered. To my cheerleaders and supporters—thank you for your unwavering encouragement. Every social media share, every kind word, has not gone unnoticed. You know who you are, and I am endlessly grateful to have you in my corner. I often wonder where I would be if I had started this journey five or ten years ago. But the truth is, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every experience—personal and professional—leading up to this moment has shaped me into the coach I am today. The future holds exciting opportunities, and I’m ready to embrace them with openness and intuition, the same intuition that has guided me to where I stand now. Here’s to the next year—no dream is too big or too wild. As Marie Forleo wisely said (her book is a must-read for anyone feeling uncertain about taking a leap of faith), everything is figureoutable. #manifest #visionofmylife #service #health #love #thankful #grateful #future #life

Celebrating Resilience: Alan's Inspiring Journey In the heart of our Brighton clinic, stories of perseverance and triumph unfold every day, but some narratives resonate deeply, reminding us of the profound impact of dedication and community support. Today, we spotlight Alan, a valued member of our community for over a decade. Alan's journey with us has been marked by significant milestones. Through personalised programs focusing on health management, core strengthening, and flexibility, we've seen remarkable progress. However, the past year presented Alan with his most formidable challenge: a prostate cancer diagnosis. Faced with this adversity, Alan's resolve never wavered. Understanding the critical role of exercise in cancer treatment and recovery, he continued his exercise regimen, meticulously aligning his treatment sessions with our group exercise classes. His commitment exemplifies the belief that physical activity is not just a cornerstone of physical health but a beacon of hope and strength during the most challenging times. The result? A year on, Alan has not only maintained his strength but has significantly improved it. More importantly, his recent tests have shown his PSA levels to have dropped to zero—a testament to his resilience, our tailored exercise programs, and the undeniable spirit to overcome. Alan's story is a powerful reminder of the impact of exercise on recovery and the strength found in a supportive community. It's a privilege to witness and contribute to such journeys of healing and triumph. To Alan: Your journey inspires us all. It underscores the importance of perseverance, the power of a supportive community, and the undeniable benefits of staying active through life's toughest challenges. We look forward to continuing to support you in every step of your health journey. This is what we strive for at Active One—empowering individuals to lead healthier, happier lives, no matter the obstacles. Here's to celebrating every victory, big or small, and to the enduring strength of the human spirit. #CancerRecovery #ExerciseIsMedicine #CommunitySupport #ActiveOneSuccess
