The BOA beneficial ownership requirement has been paused, but it’s crucial to verify whether this applies to your business. The pause stems from legal challenges by the National Small Business Association and National Small Business United, arguing that the decision is a state matter, not a federal one. Don’t assume you’re exempt. Be sure to check if the pause applies to your business before deciding not to file. #checkfacts #boi #buddingentrepreneur

🚀 Empower yourself: Know Your Contracts as a UK SME Owner 📝💼 Attention UK SME owners, especially property investors! Did you know that over 90% of businesses don't fully understand the contents of their contracts? 🤯 Saying "That's what my Solicitor is for" isn't enough – it's your name on the contract, and you're liable. Here's why knowing and reading your contracts is absolutely vital: 1️⃣ Personal Accountability: As the business owner, you're ultimately responsible for the agreements you enter into. Ignorance of contract terms won't shield you from legal consequences if things go south. 2️⃣ Protect Your Interests: Contracts aren't just legal formalities; they dictate the terms of your business relationships. Understanding them empowers you to negotiate favourable terms and protect your interests. 3️⃣ Prevent Disputes: Misunderstandings arise when parties aren't on the same page. By thoroughly reviewing contracts, you can identify potential areas of contention upfront, preventing costly disputes down the line. 4️⃣ Maximize Opportunities: Contracts often contain valuable opportunities and obligations beyond the obvious terms. By familiarizing yourself with the fine print, you can capitalize on opportunities and avoid unforeseen pitfalls. Don't leave your business's fate to chance. Take the time to know and understand your contracts – it's an investment in your success. 💪💡 #ContractKnowledge #BusinessSuccess #Empowerment #LegalAwareness #EntrepreneurMindset

𝑺𝙢𝒂𝙡𝒍 𝑩𝙪𝒔𝙞𝒏𝙚𝒔𝙨 𝙊𝒘𝙣𝒆𝙧𝒔, 𝙔𝒐𝙪𝒓 𝑰𝙣𝒑𝙪𝒕 𝑰𝙨 𝙉𝒆𝙚𝒅𝙚𝒅 𝒇𝙤𝒓 𝑪𝙤𝒏𝙜𝒓𝙚𝒔𝙨𝒊𝙤𝒏𝙖𝒍 𝑻𝙚𝒔𝙩𝒊𝙢𝒐𝙣𝒚 I just received this query from author & media personality Carol Roth: I am going to Congress to testify and I need your help... read on for that and more... Big News and Submit Your Statement (US-Based Small Businesses) I have been invited to testify in front of the House Small Business Committee on April 30th against the CTA BOI rule that is unfairly targeting small business owners. I am honored to take this step to fight for the Constitutional rights of small businesses owners across the country. I am also able to submit statements for the record from other small business owners. I want to submit at least 100, but as many as possible, to make an impact. If you own a US-based small business, please consider submitting a statement to me before April 19, 2024. To make this easy for you, I have created a page to take the submissions, which includes a sample letter (you can borrow as much or as little as you want for the letter- any personal insights are welcome). You can access that link below in the “comments section.” Please make your voice heard and ask any other US-based small business owners that you know to participate! If you need a refresher about the evils of the CTA coming after your LLC or S-corp, check out my video in the “comments” section below. Also, I have been advised because of my public commentary, I am not in a good position to initiate a lawsuit. However, if any small business owner(s) wants to, I have a lawyer who has an interest in representing this issue and I can connect you.

Own a business? Just started one? Not knowing about this could get you in SERIOUS legal trouble. Have you filed for your Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting yet? If not, now’s the time to act. This new requirement launched in January 2024, and the fines are serious. Fail to comply, and you could face a civil penalty of $500 per day. The feds can even hit you with criminal charges. Think $10,000 fine …. or up to two years in jail. So, what’s a BOI? It’s a report detailing who runs or controls your business, part of the Corporate Transparency Act. Here’s a quick rundown of deadlines: • If your business started before January 1, 2024, you have until January 1, 2025 to file. • For those who launched in 2024, file within 90 days of forming your business. • Starting a business in 2025? You’ve got 30 days to file. Keeping on top of admin tasks like this is crucial for your business. It helps you avoid headaches down the road and keeps your operations smooth. Don’t wait! Visit the FinCEN website and get your BOI filed. We’ll drop the link in the comments. Remember: Taking care of this now not only protects you but sets a solid foundation for long-term success. #businessowners #BOI #entrepreneur
