So what can you do about the lost buy box issues on Amazon? 💭 2024 will be a challenging year on Amazon for brands with a wide distribution strategy, products that historically perform well might now be lost to smaller independent sellers getting hands on stock indirectly. Here are 2 key things to work on: ➡ Distribution strategy – Pour your efforts into lines you have control over, you can’t lose the buy box if no one else is selling it! Open a seller account - Just. Do. It ✔ If the P&L stacks up, then you have no excuse. Are you seeing more buy box issues this year? ------- Edit: Martin Heubel and Jonny Golding picked up on the seller account point. I'm curious if there are any Amazon repricers out there that offer a feature to adjust selling prices based on inventory levels, factoring in the new Amazon low inventory fee. Seems like a no-brainer addition that could be crucial for all kinds of Amazon sellers, whether you're a reseller, private label, or a big brand. This new feature could help ensure that sellers aren't blindsided by extra costs and can pass them down to buyers as needed.
