Montreal 2024 was the stage for this year's INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SPEAKERS BUREAUS convention. It is a true joy to be able to get away from the 'day to day' to spend time with peers and colleagues in the industry to progress and improve the industry. A few days to learn, to share and most importantly to enjoy the company of the truly special people within the industry. This year was particularly special with my amazing colleague at Speakers Corner (who deserves every bit of praise and thanks I can give her) Rebecca Matthews co-chairing the conference with the wonderful Jenny Michaels DeRosse to create an environment for the industry to understand that by Working Better Together, we can grow together. Thank you for asking me to join an amazing panel discussing how we can grow and elevate our industry and thanks to Samantha Conine, Brian Lord, Mirjana Novkovic and Mariana Atencio for sharing with us all. Massive Congrats also to Martin Perelmuter as this year's President for leading the IASB forward and am excited for the year ahead and all to come with Michelle Joyce taking the reins (please do let me know how I can help Michelle!). Also, it was a truly special convention to have Nicolas Hamilton represented by Speaking Office being part of the speaker showcase, alongside some truly amazing speakers and finally massive thanks to Jay Baer, Amy Cuddy and Shawn Kanungo for the masterclass and keynotes providing amazing insights and learnings for us all to take away. It is such an exciting time for the speaking industry, we are privileged and honoured that our role is to share the voices and thoughts of brilliant people and minds across the world to all audiences. As a society and as individuals we are all looking to improve and learn, to have purpose, to achieve all that we want in life and I get to be part of helping us all do this....Sometimes (in the words of a great great philosopher) life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Thanks to all who were part of the convention to encourage me to do this #FerrisBuellerhastheanswers

Sorry to have missed this years IASB, but I gather it was a productive time. I’m reading all the posts / comments!
Nick! This is really lovely. It’s fun when the world gets to see what an excellent human you are. Thanks for facilitating for us and for the fun chats and walkabouts. I’m glad I made it to the bagel adventure but have questions about the mustard situation. I’ll be following up. #SaveFerris
Thank you Nick! I was in great company and cannot have wished for a better time in Montreal!
Well done Nick, always pushing forward to make events so much more connected, empathetic, nourishing. I really think things have changed for the better over the last few years. Keep on, keeping on!
Now that would have been an event to be a fly on the wall at! Hope you got lots from it!
Love the Ferris nod! Great seeing you again, as always Nick, and I loved seeing Nicolas Hamilton speak.
Thanks so much, Nick! Always great to spend time with you! And thank you for your support. ❤️
That sounds very inspiring. Speaker events are not just an opportunity to learn and improve ourselves and our businesses, but also a great excuse to bring people together to exchange ideas and form new relationships. We look forward to continuing to work with the brilliant Speakers Corner team to bring our talent to new audiences!
You are a star! Thank you and Brian Lord for recognizing the value in your event teams and also for your great insight!
Devout pianist and keynote speaker
3moNick Gold this is wonderful. You know, I’ve been reflecting on my career as a speaker and trying to connect the dots to what brought me here. The farthest dot in life was when I was in 7th and 8th grade in school (by the way, a British school), we had this activity in English class called “The Speaker’s corner” where we had to present to the class. That was by far my favorite thing to do. It’s incredible how even at such an early age, I could feel the passion for speaking in public. I hope we can meet in person soon and why not make the Speaker Corner part of my life again. That would be a true full circle moment. 🤩
