#IFPRI’s 2024 #Global Food Policy Report: Research done in #Surkhet, Nepal under the #' Transforming #Agrifood system in South Asia' shows that 73% of adolescents consumed biscuits & other sweet food items multiple times a week, & only 10% of adults had consumed fruit the previous days. It is noteworthy that 91% of shoppers think that healthy foods are expensive so more than 90% of households purchased unhealthy foods, however, 75% of shoppers were women in Surkhet. This research is interesting & shows lots of valuable information on food behaviors, food purchasing modality, & food security.
