Recently we participated in the “OCTOPUS” status meeting organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) in Bonn as part of the “EVENTS” project. Alongside other topics, we had the opportunity to engage in discussions on cybersecurity, sustainable technologies, and edge computing with other leading experts and stakeholders. It was a great platform to exchange innovative ideas, share insights, and of course to showcase the progress of our “EVENTS” project. Now that we have returned, we are very excited to continue driving this project forward!

The first AIAS tutorial on “Introduction to Digital Twins” has been presented at the University of Piraeus (Athens) by Cristina Alcaraz during the first plenary meeting of AIAS EU research project. The tutorial was attended by the project partners representatives with the aim of understanding all the necessary knowledge regarding the general operation of the technology, as well as its design principles and cybersecurity open issues. It is time now to step forward and take this learning into action, addressing the main research challenges in the use of the Digital Twin and its application within the scope of AIAS.
