Spirit of the Downs’ Post

As many of you I have been working with Spirit of the Downs for several years now and I love the team Michael Yeoman Bridgette Ryan and @josh harper in. This year we moved to our own distillery on the Bolney wine estate and now offer tours/ tastings. We have revamped the brand working with Paul Nash to create a strong visual identity. We use pomace (pressed grapes) from some the country’s best sparkling wine vineyards all based in Sussex to create a unique range of Brandies- the only ones using local English grapes! This year we decided to something a bit different to help people access the brand for the first time. We have created the most amazing cold brewed coffee brandy liqueur (possibly another first) using award winning coffee from @bean smitten . It is utterly moreish and surprisingly comforting . I love it neat (heavenly) but you can have it over crushed ice, in a martini espresso or I think it would be wonderful over ice cream. We have called it Boosy Barista because it encompasses all that is good and tasty about both coffee and brandy. At 20% alcohol and 70cl it retails for £28 .
