My take: Sponsorship is an exposure game/ awareness/ visibility to drive towards top of mind objective. With the rights activation acquired, engagement and monetization is able to derive through the usage of the rights. Just an analogy; Imagine you have a plot of land now and you’re building a house on it, with the right material given, you’re able to create the house you want. Maybe your focus is only to build for your family & friends (niche market) or you would like to do like a loft gathering (mass market), it’s comes what’s the objective and from there how big or small you want and go wild with the flexibility and creativity. Likewise goes towards the sponsorship rights to execute with cool activation which makes it memorable for an experiential moment or building a fan base by migration through the asset with brand loyalty activation, campaign activation to drive sales lift over seasonal/ year round for monetization. Which ever it would be, sponsorship marketing has the flexibility and more over in sports its fun and exciting being part of the ecosystem adding value.
