From "Skylines", my upcoming book on modern urban conflict - As we can see, to effectively make sense of, and untangle those “condensation of conflicts, opposites and antagonism” will require, or even demand, a deep and thorough understanding of the levers and red buttons of conflict causes and their effects. Otherwise, we are simply dealing with the conflict symptoms, which can easily end up in an unending high-stakes game of whack-a-mole.
