A great way to unwind after work, or on the weekends. Have you tried the ever popular game of pickle ball yet? If you know me well enough, you already know I have a competitive spirit and don’t like to quit until I win. 🙄recently I learned some valuable lessons about how my brain and my body are not quite on the same page as life changes… 1. I love pickle ball! And I need to limit my time on the court. If I lose, I lose,😬 but at least I can move the next day. 2. Wear proper shoes. Flat “tennis” shoes give the best traction on the court, but don’t wear them too long if you get sore feet! Which takes you back to #1. 3. Don’t forget your water! I carry one of those giant 40oz tumblers with chilled water. I used to think those little “backpacks” for your tumbler were cute but silly, and now it think it’s a necessity! You need a place to put your keys and stuff! #brandeddrinkware 4. Use a paddle that makes sense. Some of these wooden and heavy plastic paddles will work your wrist and forearms to burn out fast, which really hinders your game. 🤦🏻♀️Chances are your probably going to like this fun sport activity and it’s worth the extra money to get the better “light weight” paddles, with a decent bag to carry your supplies. 👍🏼The mesh bags that many PB sets come with can be clumsy, not sturdy. ☝️Last, but not least…. The partnership group, comprising Northwest Arkansas residents, plans to build The Big Dill Pickleball Club & Academy on about 12 acres on the north side of Emma Avenue, east of 40th Street.
