A new record: PENNY DEL is the most-attended hockey league in Europe in October 2024 According to my analysis, the average attendance at DEL-2024/25 regular season games in September and October is 7,226 spectators, marking the highest attendance in the German Hockey League's history. The average audience for Switzerland's National League A is 7,168 people. NL leads the Swedish Hockey League in attendance, as well as the Czech Republic and Finland leagues. The attendance ranking of the top 5 European hockey leagues is as follows: DEL 🇩🇪 — 7,226 National League — 7,168 Svenska Hockeyligan AB 🇸🇪 — 6,427 EXTRALIGA 🇨🇿 — 5,577 Finnish Hockey League - Liiga 🇫🇮 — 4,407 It's worth noting that in January, a game between German teams Löwen Frankfurt Eishockey-Betriebs GmbH and Adler Mannheim will be held at the 50,000-capacity Eintracht Stadium in Frankfurt am Main.
