X Games is a prime example of this trend, with X Games Aspen experiencing a significant increase in viewership on both linear and digital. Linear viewership was up 8% YoY, while digital video views skyrocketed by 80% YoY. Even more impressive, viewership during the Sunday primetime broadcast was up 15% YoY, despite competing directly against NFL Championship weekend, which set records for ratings.
