Support Students 🤝 Donate School Supplies On Aug. 19, nearly 25,000 Springfield Public Schools students will come to school eager to learn. However, not all of them will have the supplies they need due to lack of resources. To help support students and their families, SPS is launching Ready. Set. Supply!, its annual campaign to collect school supply donations so all SPS students can start the school year off right. "A new school year is an exciting time for students but it can also be costly for families, especially those with multiple school-aged children," explained Jessica Blake, coordinator of community relations. "We want to help fill those gaps and make sure every student has the necessary supplies to be success ready." Community members and organizations can help by donating school supplies or making financial contributions. Visit sps.org/readysetsupply for list of needed supplies and a link to donate. 🔗sps.org/readysetsupply

As back to school season is in full effect, many parents are busy preparing themselves and their children for the new school year. Educators are also busy preparing for the upcoming school year and some school districts will be fortunate enough to receive financial resources that help them equip its classrooms for new & returning students while others may struggle to make do with outdated resources for their classrooms. It comes as no surprise that Oklahoma ranks poorly amongst other states in the country in education ranking 44th overall in 2024. The Every Student Succeeds Act was signed in 2015 to address advancing equity to disadvantaged & high-need students, however, many school districts continue to miss out on opportunities to better serve its students due to political sentiments that fail to prioritize the next generation of leaders and thinkers. This year I decided to join some of my friends at Generation Why to help gather & distribute school supplies to some of the Oklahoma City Public Schools who were not as fortunate to receive state or federal funding to help provide its students the necessary resources they need for the upcoming school year. Last year #GNWY managed to raise over $12k to help students at F.D. Moon Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year. This year their goal is to raise $10k for more #OKCPS schools and also host another #FillTheBus drive to accept any donations from local businesses & organizations to help steer this mission. If you or your organization is interested in participating, feel free to reach out to my dear friend Jordan at #GNWY to help them acheive their goal for the upcoming school year. Any donations can be distributed to #GNWY before or on August 4th at their #FillTheBus event or online via their website. See details below. Date/Time: 8/4/24 05:00p Location: 100 N McCormick Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73127 Fill The Bus Donations: https://lnkd.in/gJuikpUd Visit GNWY: https://lnkd.in/gsXz5p2c

Hello Colleagues, Connections, and Friends! The CohnReznick LLP Charlotte office CARES initiative for July has been collecting donations for Classroom Central. Through their partnerships, each $1 donated becomes $9 worth of distributed supplies for students in our community. These donations give students the supplies they need for a successful school year. Every dollar donated (via the link below) through the end of the day today will go to purchasing kits that will be given to local students in need. We will assemble these kits ourselves, and deliver them to Classroom Central next month. Please consider making a small (or large) donation to our local students and teachers! Consider this insight from a 3rd-grade teacher in Charlotte: "There are always unseen challenges for students. As teachers, we strive to understand and address the struggles they face outside the classroom. When kids live in poverty and high-stress environments, focusing on learning to read or understand fractions becomes incrementally more difficult, not to mention the stress of worrying if they can get the necessary books and supplies they need to complete their homework and lessons. With the help of Classroom Central, I can alleviate at least one of their stressors, making it easier for them to feel capable and successful while they're at school." Thank you for any and all donations!! <3 https://lnkd.in/gQezNchQ

💡 This Giving Tuesday, let’s close the achievement gap in education! 💡 As a parent of twins in the NYC public school system, I’ve experienced how challenging it can be to navigate the system and ensure every child has access to the resources they need. I’ve also seen how inequities in education can hold kids back simply because of where they live or the resources available to their teachers. That’s why I’m proud to serve as a facilitator with Inspiring Educators, where we work to empower school teachers and administrators with tools, training, and strategies to transform their classrooms and communities. This work helps bridge the achievement gap and gives every child a chance to thrive. This Giving Tuesday, I invite you to support this mission. Your donation can help expand programs that uplift educators and create lasting change for students everywhere. Every dollar we raise goes directly to the IE Equity Fund, providing grants and scholarships to make our training accessible to high-need, underfunded schools, districts, and organizations. Three ways you can support IE during this season of giving: 1️⃣ Donate if you are able. We have secured a match on all donations so every dollar will be DOUBLED! https://lnkd.in/eUXbdGE9 2️⃣ Spread the word. Share our posts on here to remind your network of the essential work that educators do every day and the urgent need to support them. 3️⃣ Connect us to new friends and supporters. Do you know someone who would be excited about our mission and interested in supporting it? Put us in touch or send them this link: https://lnkd.in/ejbfgQ3K Oh... wait, there's a 4th thing. 4️⃣ Thank an educator. Always, always, thank an educator 👏 💛 #GivingTuesday #EducationForAll #CloseTheGap #InspiringChange

Please give a little and help me and my colleagues at Sage make a real difference to the kids at Tullygally Primary School! 🙏🏻 If you can, please donate. Every £ will get us a step closer to having a huge impact on their future. Giving them computer skills at an early age is like giving them a passport to the world! Over 92% of jobs need digital skills and computer literacy. The ability to understand and use technology is no longer an optional skill. It is already a fundamental necessity. For the younger generation, computers and digital technology are their natural environment. Computer literacy extends far beyond being able to surf the internet or play video games. It includes understanding the operation of a computer and even early programming skills. This breadth of knowledge opens possibilities for creativity, collaboration, and exploration. It’s like equipping children with a passport to the world. This is where educational computers for kids serve as a versatile tool. It helps shape their learning experiences. The way to lead with actions not just words.
Austin Bank's allegiance to the communities it serves continues to manifest itself through contributions in direct support of local education, the arts, literacy, health and housing needs as well as countless hours of volunteer service given by Austin Bank employees. B.E. Blessed is a non-profit organization in the Conroe area with the mission of providing school supplies, hygiene kits, and other essentials to low-income students throughout their community. Baily (pictured center) was 6 years old when she realized that not all of her classmates had their own crayons. This inspired her to create B.E. Blessed to provide underprivileged students with the supplies they need to succeed. Since the organization made it's first donation in 2006, they've raised over $230,000 and provided school supplies to over 2,900 students. We are proud to support Baily and B.E. Blessed in their mission to improve the educational outcomes of students throughout the Conroe community and beyond. #WithYouForGood #BEBlessed #ConroeTX

Yea, today is the day where we are overwhelmed with appeals from organizations. It is an important day. But, supporting an organization, or a cause, is not just about what you give today, its about building better. A few days ago I re-posted an idea to rebrand non-profit organizations as social-profit organizations. This concept is ringing louder to me every day. The work of non-profit organizations- the staff, the funders, the beneficiaries-- is to create a better something: human, community, system, etc. Our society depends on these organizations. So, I encourage you to make a donation today and/or in the next couple of weeks. You have a lot of options and, personally, I would ask you to consider supporting, Foster Progress. With your support we empower more foster youth to beat the odds and succeed in higher education. Your donation helps provide: 📚 Scholarships for tuition and books 🤝 Mentors to guide students through challenges 🏫 Advocacy to navigate college systems You can donate here: https://lnkd.in/g4mzzANh

We are on a mission to breathe new life into Quibdòs early education system, a place where countless bright futures are being shaped. Right now, many of the schools located in Quibdò are in urgent need of renovation, and the students lack essential books and fundamental materials. Take a moment to look at this picture. This run-down classroom is the current reality for many children. But together, we can change that. We envision a vibrant, well-equipped school where every child can thrive. But we can't do it alone. We need your support to turn this vision into reality Here is how you can make a difference: - Share: Help us spread the word. The more people know about our cause, the more support we can gather. - Donate: Your generous contributions, big or small, will directly fund the renovations and new learning materials. Let's come together to give these children the education they deserve. Thank you for your support. #EducationForAll #CommunitySupport #HelpNow #NonProfit #ForTheChildren #ChangeMakers #ImpactLives #EmpowerYouth #TogetherWeCan #JoinTheCause #Equality
