Day 12 of #YourWellbeingYourJob. But this isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning. We live as if we’ll never die, yet too often, we end up dying as if we never truly lived. As we wrap up this challenge, I want to thank each of you who joined this journey. You’ve taken the time to focus on yourself, and that’s not a small thing. Let’s be honest - it's very easy to get lost in the grind. We work hard, we push ourselves, and often, we do it at the expense of our health, happiness, and peace of mind. But success means nothing if you’re too tired to enjoy it. I want to remind you that what you’ve started here is a commitment to yourself. You’ve taken important steps —from setting boundaries to recognizing burnout, from learning to say ‘no’ to asking for support when you need it, and being okay to walk away when something no longer serves your wellbeing. I want you to remember that you were not born just to work, pay bills, and lose yourself in the process. Your wellbeing is YOUR job - your life, your health, and your happiness deserve your attention. If this challenge has helped you reflect, pivot, and prioritize what truly matters, don’t stop here. Keep going. And if you’re looking for a way to keep building on these changes, I’d love for you to join my 21-day DRIVE to Happiness email course here: https://lnkd.in/gYjz8uw6 Each day, you’ll get a short, actionable tip to keep your happiness and wellbeing front and center. Because real change happens over time, and the more you prioritize yourself, the more you’ll be able to give to others—from a place of strength, not exhaustion. So, remember—your wellbeing is your job. #ReclaimYou. Keep choosing yourself, every single day. And I’m here to support you. Thank you for being part of this journey. #ReclaimYou #YourWellbeingYourJob #WorkLifeBalance #MentalHealthMatters #SelfCare #HappinessHabits #WellnessJourney #LifeBalance

Is it just another Manic Monday or are you still wishing it was Sunday? (post inspired by Radio 2 this morning, thank you The Bangles)! Focusing on your wellbeing can be really hard because life is so busy and often, everything else feels like a priority. 😕 It is also harder in the winter because we have less daylight and less sun which we need to naturally boost our wellbeing. 🫣 But experience tells me if you take time to learn and focus on your wellbeing life begins to feel so much easier. ✨ 👉🏻There is less stress, there is more time 👉🏻There is less loneliness, there is more energy 👉🏻There is less self-doubt, there is more confidence 👉🏻There is less exasperation, there is more productivity I know it’s a struggle to get started, I also know it’s a struggle to know where to start but I also know when you do get started you will feel less stuck and less going round in circles. 🔘 Just a little bit of wellbeing knowledge can make a huge difference to getting unstuck and getting off the merry go round.🎠 And I am talking brain based stuff, not fluffy or tick box wellbeing, real evidence based research that helps me, and my clients feel better about life. ✨🧠 And when you feel better about life, you are more resilient, you are more able to cope with change, you laugh more, you get stuff done, you feel motivated, you are present more and even the dark winter evenings can be a lot of fun! 🥳 I haven’t said it for a while but my door is always open 🚪 If you would love half hour to think about your winter wellbeing DM me or click link in my featured section and let’s chat 💬 #employeewellbeing #wellbeingandperformance #personaldevelopment #resilience #leadership #leadershipcoaching

It's not about how much you know... It's about how energized you are to take action. 5 takeaways about why your personal well-being matters most ⬇️ 1. You have to treat your rest as seriously as you do your work - honestly it’s in your works best interest if you are happy, recharged, well rested & excited 2. Say yes to everything - it’s crazy how you’ll technically never live the exact moment twice 3. If you think you can, you will - the human brain is cool, think about the way we are run by our habits, how can we have the internal conversation with ourselves to think about incorporating healthier habits 4. Eat your colours - honestly Gurk & Bianca take credit for this one 5. Fuelling the soul, can add years to your life - don’t you feel your best when you’re laughing? There’s a reason we know stress negatively contributes to our overall health in so many capacities - think of the tools you need in your toolkit to promote soulful activities. To do it all and be efficient, you need to prioritize your wellbeing in all facets of your life. 💞Prioritizing Self-Care: The Key to Sustainable Success💞 In the fast-paced world of business, it's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of deadlines, meetings, and targets. While dedication and hard work are crucial, there's one element that often gets overlooked: self-care. Self-care is not just a buzzword; it’s a vital component of maintaining overall well-being and peak performance. Here’s why: 1. 💫Enhanced Productivity💫: Taking regular breaks and investing time in activities you enjoy can significantly boost your productivity. When your mind is well-rested, you can think more clearly and make better decisions. 2. 💫Improved Mental Health💫: Stress and burnout are real challenges in the professional world. Self-care practices like mindfulness, exercise, and proper sleep can reduce anxiety and improve mental health, allowing you to approach work with a positive mindset. 3. 💫Better Physical Health💫: Regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and adequate rest are fundamental to maintaining energy levels and preventing illness. A healthy body supports a healthy mind, enabling you to tackle tasks more effectively. 4. 💫Stronger Relationships💫: Taking time for yourself can enhance your relationships with others. When you are relaxed and happy, you can connect better with colleagues, friends, and family, fostering a supportive network that benefits both personal and professional life. 5. 💫Sustainable Growth💫: Long-term success is built on a foundation of consistent self-care. By making it a priority, you ensure that you have the stamina and resilience to navigate the ups and downs of your career journey. Remember, self-care is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. By integrating it into our daily routines, we not only enhance our own well-being but also set an example for others to follow. As a self-disclosed recovering workaholic, I spent the first decade of my social work career thinking that everything has to be done (right this very minute), and I'm the only one who can do it (correctly). Not only was that exhausting. It was inaccurate. The work would still be there tomorrow despite my 16-hour days, and the world would not crumble without my blood, sweat, and tears. After years and years of normalized burnout (both self-inflicted and supported by bosses), I learned that when I skipped prioritizing my wellness, I consistently took work home. I couldn't be fully present in my personal life, where I should have been enjoying the things and people I love so much. I knew there were still so many other things I HAD to do, or else…(insert fear and ego here). I finally learned that when I took the time to recharge (even in 10-minute intervals throughout my day), my perspective of urgency and scarcity changed. Using simple wellness tools helped shift my perspective. They saved me. Now, do I recognize there are responsibilities that only you can do? Yes. Might you be the only person with specific skills, qualifications, or credentials? Absolutely. Will tasks and deadlines require your time and immediate attention? 100%. But I guarantee if you put your mental health first, you will crush those projects, performance measures, and obligations. Even better than you could have before. A healthier mind leads directly to better outcomes. Focus leads to success. I ask that we stop applauding ourselves and others for overworking and overextending at the expense of our health (and happiness). In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to forget to pause, take a breath, and step away from the desk. This is your friendly reminder...EVERYONE has at least 5 minutes in their workday to make time for themselves. Stop waiting. Step back into your life. #mentalhealthatwork #workbetter #boundariesmatter #workplacewellness
