Working back in time 🕰️ A 25 y M presented for a follow up in 10 years. He was born with a congenital defect which was corrected at week 1 of birth, but no exact diagnosis or reports could be provided. Patient was overweight which limited the images in an already difficult situation. Echo revealed a thickened aortic valve with mild turbulent flow over. Gradient was measured at 30/15 mmHg. In the PSAX, a bicuspid aortic valve can be noted, functioning well. No stenosis noted in the aortic arch. Most likely diagnosis: coarctation repair with bicuspid aortic valve #echo #cardiology #cardio #echocardiography #congenitalheartdisease #aortic #aorta #sonography #sonographer
