Week-14: Platform & Purpose, Baker’s Dozen and the privilege of giving.   Just think about this - if each one of us can give to everybody more than what we take from them – maybe your spouse, your children, your siblings, your colleagues, your employer, your employee. Can you do a little more than what you are paid for? When you give more than what is asked, it feels very special and the reciprocity of what you will get is beyond the linear thought process. Why is this a privilege? Because you have a platform – your physical self, your intellectual mind, your education, your network and the resources at your disposal. Can you use this platform for a larger purpose? COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” -Helen Keller What is a community? A community is a group of individuals who share common interests, values or goals and interact with one another in various ways. Now, what is a fellowship? A fellowship is a supportive community or group of individuals who come together for a common purpose. Finally, Community fellowship is a gathering who come together to build relationships, support one another and work toward common goals. Why is this needed? 📌Through teachings, discussion and prayers in such fellowships, believers can deepen their understanding of scripture and grow their faith. 📌 Fellowship also helps to build strong relationships, creating bonds of friendship and love 📌 Engaging with a diverse group of believers can broaden one’s perspective and understanding of faith 📌 Being part of a community offers emotional and spiritual support during challenging times Community fellowship is vital for nurturing faith, fostering relationships, encouraging others and fulfilling the call to love and serve others in the spirit of Christ.

Today marks an anniversary I will never forget. On the evening of October 7, 2023, I was inducted into the American Academy of Nursing -a momentous occasion that coincided with the tragic attacks on Israel. Just before the ceremony, a dear friend and colleague stopped me to present this 🌳 Tree of Life necklace and share words of congratulations. The gift, deeply personal to me, was even more profound because she found it not robbery to support me while her beloved state was under siege. This act of kindness made me reflect upon these truths as we cultivate our future workforce while welcoming a new class of Fellows next month: ✅Leverage Unity for Change: Let's focus on what unifies us to make meaningful change in the world. 🤝✨ ✅Cultivate the Next Generation: Invest in mentoring and supporting the future leaders of our profession. 🎓🌟 ✅Cherish and Nourish Friendships: In challenging times, the strength of our connections will propel us forward. ❤️🌟 ✅Offer Support Amidst Adversity: Extend compassion to others, even when facing our own challenges. 🌍💖 ✅Promote Healing and Understanding: Actively work towards healing divisions by fostering empathy and open dialogue. 🕊️💬 As we strengthen our future workforce and strive to heal the divides across our nation and the global stage, let us embody these truths to lead with compassion and unity. #NursingLeadership #Unity #FutureWorkforce #Kindness #NursesonLinkedIn #Global #NursesforPeace
