St. Louis Cardinals’ Post

Congratulations to the late Dick Allen on his selection to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum! Allen played 15 seasons in the Major Leagues, including the 1970 season in St. Louis. An All-Star with the Cardinals, Allen held a lifetime .292 average, hit 351 home runs, and won both Rookie of the Year and MVP.

Should have been in long ago. Shame he’s not alive to enjoy the honor. Take the vote away from writers! Let retired/ HOF players select.

Now that Dick Allen and Dave Parker are in, there shouldn't be anymore debate about Jim Edmonds, who had a higher career WAR than both of them.
