Our mindset on nonprofit board recruitment needs to change. . . . . . . . . . . . . Many nonprofits try to “find” board members. It’s like going fishing and not getting enough bites on the line. Instead, we should be working to grow the pool of people engaged as volunteers, committee/task force members, patrons, donors, etc. Then invite folks from that pool to "apply" for Board membership. Work to get more applications than we have seats to fill, so we can build the best possible class to meet our recruitment priorities. Huge improvements occur when we shift our recruitment mindset from acquisition to application. . . . . . . . . . . . . . I’m Ryan. I help nonprofit leaders quiet the chaos, define clear strategy, and achieve real results. ♻️ Repost if this is helpful. 👉 DM me here on LinkedIn to chat.
